The Little Koo story

Hi, I'm Rachel aka Little Koo. The name came from my husband, whose nickname at university was The Koo (it's a long story) so after marrying him I became Little Koo. We are now expecting twins (very exciting) so we really will have some Little Koos soon!

Little Koo sells a range of beaded sterling silver jewellery, all created and designed by me. My aim is to create simple, wearable designs which add a bit of interest without being overwhelming.

I started making jewellery in order to raise some money for a charity trip in 2011. The pieces I made sold so well that I raised almost the entire amount required just from selling jewellery! Today I give 10% of my profits to that charity as my way of thanking them for helping to find something I love doing so much. The charity is Amor Ministries, who build houses for homeless people in Mexico, the US and South Africa (

After deciding to launch my own jewellery business, the first piece I created were some coral earrings ( These earrings inspired the entire range that I currently sell, and I wear them all the time too! My designs are often inspired by a single bead or a design palette. Usually I will then play around with materials until they come together to make a design that works well. This is my favourite part of the process!

I would like Little Koo to become known for high quality, simple and affordable jewellery. I create designs that I would want to wear and that I think are pretty, so I hope you do too. If you have any questions, please get in touch via Etsy or email me at littlekoojewellery [!at]

Returns and exchanges
If you change your mind once you have placed your order, please let me know as soon as possible. If I have not shipped your order then I will cancel the order and refund your money.

However if the order has already been shipped then you will need to return the jewellery in its original box and in its original condition. The refund you will then receive once I have the returned jewellery will not include the shipping cost.

If you are not happy with the jewellery you receive then please contact me via Etsy within one month of the order date. For items where there are faults in manufacture or materials the cost for the jewellery to be returned will be refunded once it has been received by me and the fault has been verified. I can then correct the fault and re-send the jewellery at no cost to you, or give you a full refund.
Payment is accepted through Paypal. Once payment is received, I will process your order.

The address used to process your order will be the one entered into the Etsy website, not Paypal. Please check the address is correct in Etsy before placing your order.
Orders will be shipped 3-5 business days after payment is received. I will contact you if there is likely to be a delay in shipping for any reason. I ship packages by registered airmail. I cannot guarantee delivery times as this is dependent on the postal service, however packages to Europe or the US usually take 1-3 weeks to arrive. If your package has not arrived after this time, please let me know and I will try to find out where it is.

You are responsible for any duties payable on goods received in your country.

If you require faster postage, please contact me and I will advise you on costs.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am happy to make custom orders. If you are interested in this service, please contact me with your design criteria. Once we have agreed on a design, then I will make the jewellery and send you photographs. If you are happy with the jewellery as seen in the photographs, I will make you a custom order on Etsy which you can then pay for and I will ship the jewellery as usual. There is no refunds on custom orders once you have agreed in writing that you are happy with the jewellery.

If you have any other questions or problems, please contact me directly on Etsy and I will do my best to help.
