My grandchildren in their Pumpkin hats.

I love to create custom hats!

I learned to knit and crochet from my mother in high school. I first started to knit and crochet for nieces and nephews and then my own children, James and Allison. As they grew up, I moved into making things for great-nieces and great-nephews and finally in 2013, I was blessed with my first two grandchildren - Jimmy (son of James) and Riley (daughter of Allison). They are 7 weeks apart and now my favorite models.
I retired from my position as Dean of Continuing Education in my local community college in 2012 and that's when I decided to open my Etsy shop.
I have always believed in using the best yarn available when making items for babies. I love making hats for newborn baby shots, especially hats in the parent's Alma Mater school colors.
I find knitting and crocheting to be a very relaxing hobby and always have a project with me to work on.
