My work is heavily influenced by nature and it's infinite structures. There is so much wonderful irregularity in the world and I try to capture the essence of that and pair it with thoughtful, careful crafting when I make my goods. Naturally asymmetric shapes carry through into my necklace designs. I use not only real stones but I also create my own by drawing fantastical quartz clusters and shaping polymer clay into lovely little multihedrons strung onto delicate chain.
When I made these pieces I remembered state parks and lava beds, desert mesas, zoos, and mountain retreats. Road trips that my family had gone on when I was younger. The hope is that when you wear one of my rings or necklaces it instills similar feelings of adventure and exploration. Of driving past miles and miles of untamed landscapes and seeing the endless, brilliant night sky.
Everything I offer in the shop is guaranteed made by my hands. I do not have any assistants nor do I ever want any, really. I enjoy every step of creating and am maybe to selfish to share.
