Dangerously attached to these bookends. Must leave them in my shop, must leave them in my shop, must leave them in my shop.
My kids had fun assembling this blast from their Mommy's past. :)

About

Servicing Vintage Addictions Since 2008

I've had a love of vintage since high school, when I used to thrift shop for clothes and just about anything else that struck my fancy. My parents bought and sold antiques for over 30 years, so I think I was born with the "itch" in my blood. My father encouraged me to get into the business after high school, to which I ironically turned up my nose, instead heading to college for psychology. I was in graduate school working on my M.Ed. in elementary guidance counseling when I needed to make some extra money for books and expenses and I started selling vintage fabrics online. And from there the rest is history. A friend recommended Etsy to me in 2007, however I didn't open my shop until the summer of 2008 after my daughter was born.

Etsy brings together everything I always wanted in the online selling experience. The human connection, the collective interest in and love of all things handmade and vintage and super swell folks to share it with. I couldn't be happier where I am at now and I am so thankful to the people who stop by my shop and make it possible.

I am a lover of all things vintage, my family, coffee with a lot of cream and agave, 1950s hankies, eyeliner and autumn.

I love happy transactions, which was one of the biggest draws to Etsy for me and I will do everything I can to make it fun for you and me. I'm here because I love vintage and if you're reading this, I assume you do too. But please be sure that your expectations for vintage items are reasonable; vintage items are called such because they've had a life (sometimes a loooong life), before they've reached my hands. Expect all vintage items I sell to have personality and no matter how mint or unused they are, they still will not have that brand-new-out-of-the-box feel that new clothes, jewelry, etc. has. If you think this will be a problem for you, perhaps vintage is not for you.

We are a smoke-free home but I do have three very large cats and one cat sized dog who, as they see fit, scamper around my workspace. Consequently, it is likely you will find a few stray kitty or doggie hairs on your package or on your purchase itself. Please be assured that I do my best to keep your item clean from storage to processing and package but I've found that no matter how clean I keep it, static and the nature of packing materials work against me. As far as where my items have been prior to reaching me, I cannot say for certain so if you have a very serious allergy of any kind, I would advise against a purchase.

An important note about me: I am a one woman show, a mother and a wife. I am super stoked about being here, as well as doing my very best to provide excellent customer service to my fellow Etsians. However, I do have a tendency to get SO excited about your purchase that as soon as I receive the confirmation of a purchase and payment, I race off to package and ship your item. So there's a chance that you may not hear from me right away, or that the only communication you will receive will be a confirmation of delivery tracking and shipment from PayPal. So if you make a purchase and you don't hear from me, feel free to drop me a line, I just tend to be a bit forgetful. But this has no bearing on my turn around time- I tend to ship within 24-48 hours after payment.

Payment
I am happy to accept PayPal, personal checks or money orders. I will gladly ship items immediately upon payment through PayPal and after personal checks have cleared.

I ask that you arrange payment within 2 days of purchase. If for some reason you cannot make payment within this timeframe, please convo me and we will work something out. I reserve the right to cancel the sale and relist the item if payment is not received. Thank you for your understanding.
Shipping
Shipping typically happens within 2 or 3 days of purchase, often faster than that. If you have a shipping timeline concern, please don't hesitate to let me know.

All items are shipped with delivery confirmation via USPS either First Class or Priority Mail- heavier packages with further to travel may ship Parcel Post. I love to reuse and recycle so there is a very good chance your item could be packaged with used boxes, mailers, peanuts, newspaper, etc. I feel it's my responsibility to limit waste.

International folks: I will be glad to ship to you, please convo me with your location and I will be more than happy to give you a postal quote. Please note that I do not lie on customs forms.

US Customers: Do you need your item in a hurry? Just convo me and I can provide a quote for express mail. Need insurance? Just like me know and I can add it to the listing- please note that I do not include insurance in my shipping costs as they are listed.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds will be given in the event that my item's condition is grossly mis-described. I will not refund for the fit of the garment, color or buyer remorse. Please, please, please do us both a favor and measure a similiar garment you own and compare those measurements to the item you are interested in. This should help you determine fit. This is much more accurate than writing me and letting me play clothing psychic, I don't know what you look like or what will look good on you and I want you to be super happy with your purchase. When refunds are given, it does not include buyers original shipping costs or those incurred in the return. Please be sure to add delivery confirmation to your return. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to convo.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am always open to trades, although I'm pretty particular as I'm a recovering hoarder (haha) and I only have room for so much stuff. My husband sits on the couch and sighs when he sees MORE stuff coming into the house, instead of leaving it. This is the life of the vintage clothing obsessed.
