This is an AMAZING org. with a huge heart. I ordered a charm bracelet for my mother-in-law for Christmas this year - I couldn't believe the effort and personal touch that Amanda put into it. She sought to know my MIL and create something that would be so unique for her - my MIL loved it! Her service, you guys. I ordered too late to be assured I would receive my bracelet in time for Christmas ; without me even asking about it, Amanda let me know that she would do everything she could to get it there by Christmas, and went out of her way to offer her work on my behalf to get it here even though it must have been inconvenient for her (she made my bracelet the night of, kept constant communication, went through the process of getting the best shipping, and had it out the very next day)! I will definitely be ordering again! (:

I ordered some charm necklaces and could not believe how perfect her personalizations were. You will be amazed at the sweet and encouraging message of each one. I cried as I read each description because they were so amazingly perfect! I cannot wait to give these and I'm so thankful to give to Esperanza too!

Hello! I am so excited & blessed to have you on this site. Esperanza Project is a ministry based in a small jungle village of Guatemala. It exists to bring hope, love, & freedom from pain, hunger, & poverty.

A little back story of how it all began ... In July 2013 I traveled to Guatemala on a mission trip, for the second time. While I ministered there, we visited a dump. It was the most heart-wrenching, devastating thing I have ever witnessed. I left the dump forever changed & determined to do something about what I had seen. It's easy to come home & forget about what was seen and experienced over seas. It's difficult to come home & daily remind yourself that this home, the U.S. is so richly blessed and there are people suffering from poverty just a flight away. I knew that I could not see what I saw & do nothing about it. That would be like seeing the face of God & still not believing/saying no. That is how Esperanza Project was started. All because God showed me a world outside my selfish, small view. People are hurting, broken, & hungry all around. They are waiting, without knowing it, for rescue.
After never experiencing a creative spirit within myself, God provided the skill of making paper beads when I returned home from this trip. I opened this etsy shop in January 2014 with hopes of taking the bead project a step further... getting back to Guatemala and sharing this skill with the ones who impacted me deeply. When God places something on your heart, He is faithful to bring it through .... He opened up the opportunity to go back to Guatemala and teach the beads to precious teenagers and women in June 2014. It was an absolute dream come true! The women/girls were very receptive and did an incredible job learning and making beads. They're instinct and ability to create beauty was evident in their work

TODAY: Esperanza means HOPE in Spanish. It is our dream and desire for this project to bring a sustainable spiritual & financial HOPE to the women we work with. Esperanza Project empowers women to use their God-given talents to create jewelry out of paper & recycled materials. Esperanza consists of 5 incredible Artisans, ranging in age from 17-20. The girls are creative & talented, bold & beautiful, intelligent & full of dreams! Their designs are well thought out and unique. The girls use their money to pay for schooling, help provide for their families, & for other personal needs. By purchasing beads from Esperanza you are empowering each of these young girls to chase after her dreams & believe in a future that's brighter than she expects! Thank you for dreaming with us & providing hope to each of the girls. You are changing the world, one life & purchase at a time.
