About

Handmade Art for You -- Beaded Tassels, Potpourri and More

Passementerie: the art of turning thread into tassels, trims, and garlands.
Lizbeth's Garden: passementerie for the modern home

Simplicity with a twist — modern, clean lines with a bit of glamour and sparkle – that's what you will find in Lizbeth's Garden.

I started making tassels after I could not find beautiful, decorative beaded tassels at a reasonable price for my own home. I love sending off my lovely creations for you to cherish.

I carefully wrap every tassel by hand, usually with pearl cotton thread, sometimes silk or leather. Then I add beaded fringes, usually of glass, sometimes sterling silver or other metal. I occasionally use vintage beads, often vintage German beads I find at my local bead store.

Fun fact: There are 40 feet of thread in a four inch tassel, 15 feet in a two inch tassel, and 5 feet in a one inch tassel.

Do you need ideas for how to use a tassel? Or, perhaps you would prefer a custom, made to order tassel or metal charm made just for you? Contact me today: I would love to work with you. Much of my local business is custom beaded tassels and I love working with my customers to create the tassels they have imagined.

Most of my tassels are not meant for children, but I have a few products just for them. I can also make custom tassels for children over the age of 3.

I have been crafting from found items as long as I can remember. I love making tassels and potpourri: a few ingredients blend beautifully into a new whole. I love making beautiful things to brighten your day. I also write poetry and tend my garden.

Care instructions

Tassel Care: Smooth the fringes down with your hand if they become disarrayed. If a tassel becomes very disarrayed, comb the threads carefully with a fine comb. The pearl cotton tassels with no beading can be carefully hand-washed. Do not wash tassels with beading.

Artisan & Custom Potpourri

All my potpourri is carefully hand-mixed by me from my own recipes. I make small batches and sell in small quantities to assure quality. I am happy to custom mix a potpourri for you with the scents and textures you request.
Allergy information: I have a tree-nut, cat, and smoke free home. Potpourri may be exposed to dog, peanuts, eggs, soy, wheat, and dairy.
Homegrown potpourri flowers are grown by me and is petals plus essential oil. This potpourri is available on a seasonal basis in small quantities.
Artisan potpourri is hand-mixed by me from fresh and dried ingredients, some I grow & some I purchase from quality suppliers. Artisan potpourri, while some ingredients are edible, is not edible. It is meant for decorative purposes only.
