Our plush art is based on children's drawings and made using a collection of carefully selected recycled and vintage materials.

What we do:
I design soft art together with my family. It is a collaboration starting from shared experiences, to ideas and drawings, to the drafting of patterns for a 3D object, to choosing fabrics and materials, creating stories that go along with the object, photographing, etc. We have been invited to participate in gallery exhibits, asked to share our work thru online blogs and magazines, have been published in a few books, and created a few pop-up storefront installations. Some of our designs have found their way into a children's museum, where they are worn as costumes and props. We love what we do because it is constantly evolving just like our children are growing. Our greatest satisfaction comes from the time when we see the final object coming to shape and when the recipient sees it for the first time.

Who is it for:
Many people who are collectors have added some of our one-of pieces to their treasures. Others have given our work as presents in baby showers, to brother and sisters, cousins, grandparents, boyfriends and girlfriends, etc. Parents have come to us with their children's drawings. We have given this gift to many of our children's friends for their birthdays. Everyone has a big smile on their faces when they hold our pieces, with a sense of wonder and delight at the possibility of seeing children's illustrations come to life.

How our work is made:
Every piece is made by us, hand and machine stitched with a collection of carefully recycled and selected materials (such as fabrics, wire, cardboard, wood) and vintage items. In an effort to consume less new materials we have found abundant resources through the recycling of clothing from many eras. Some trims and haberdashery have been around for years and carry within stories of the past. Even some pieces of linen and upholstery fabric have found their way into our larger creations. We draft a new pattern for each new piece. We also work with our clients to make decoration pieces or play toys in accordance to the purpose of the object and the recipient. It is a labor of love.

We collect and use quality thrifted and recycled materials including fabric, cardboard, and wire.

Our one-of-a-kind creations are also called soft sculptures, fiber art, soft art, or art toys. Because of the delicate hand stitched details and vintage fabric most of our pieces are not meant to be a child's toy but a keepsake. You can check with us to see if any one of our new pieces would be suitable as a child's toy before you purchase it.

We accept commissions for artwork using (or inspired by) children's drawings. You can provide a child's drawing or request one by our children. Commissions require time to gather details (specific to your requests) and materials (fabrics that will match the drawing). Prices reflect not only the materials used and hours spent in each piece but also the time it takes to look for and collect the right fabrics, the experience designing a one-of-a-kind piece from an illustration to a 3D object, the delicately hand stitching details (and embrodery), writing individual stories (because all of our pieces come with a story), and photographing the art piece in the right background (those images are, in many cases, requested by printed and online magazines).

When you first see our pieces, you are probably drawn to the image, then you will enjoy reading the story and description. There's a lot that goes into putting this image together for our viewers. When you support our work, you support our creativity. Thank you.
