About

I love to Create

I started selling vintage patterns on Etsy, it all started when I went to an antique mall in Kansas City, Missouri and I discovered these particular patterns, I started checking them for completeness, to see in what kind of condition the pieces were. I always read the instructions sheet that each pattern envelope comes with, that is when I began paying attention of the pattern pieces and how similar were from one pattern envelope to another one. One rainy and cold Fall Sunday I decided to give these patterns a try, I chose a 1950's Butterick sewing pattern, it was a polka dot dress from the late 1950's. The sizes of the patterns back then, are very small, compared to the patterns of today, So I had to adjust the pattern pieces to my size, it sure was a challenge, but it turned out ok.
I went to my hometown in Lima, Peru and I took some pattern-making classes, and since then on I cannot stop sewing.
Although I have no formal training as seamstress, I can do a pretty good job sewing and creating my own designs.

My mother was a seamstress for many years before she passed, I never paid much attention when she spent hours in her sewing room. Little that I knew that I was going to inherit her gift of sewing.
