Totally wonderful and would buy from shop again! The price is amazing for the unique art and the fact that it came all the way from England to California.

More than a little honoured to be sending one of my Suffragette inspired pieces off to its new owner during election week. #feelingproud

About

Bobbin Along.

As soon as my tiny toddler hands had their first finger painting experience it was clear that I was destined for a career in the arts. I’ve been making work for as long as I can remember and have always enjoyed the challenge of coming up with original ideas for things to make. Luckily for me, I have had ever willing and supportive guinea pigs in the shape of family and friends to road test a lot of these ideas – no birthday or Christmas escaped my handmade magic. Finally taking the plunge and setting up my Etsy shop has been a natural progression from this.

In recent years I’ve entered a number of art competitions, with some success. One of my pieces, ‘Calling at...’, can be found hanging on the wall at the Bankside entrance of Blackfriar’s station tantalisingly close to Tate Modern. If you’re ever out that way you could always take a peek.

My foray into illustration has been quite a new development, inspired and encouraged by my family, particularly my older sister. I had the privilege of creating artwork for her wedding in 2013 which led to a commission for illustrations in a recipe book. By this time the illustrating bug had taken hold, and you can see the results in my shop. With a pen in one hand and a needle and thread in the other I have created what you see in my shop today; I hope you have as much fun looking at them as I had making them.

Happy shopping everyone!

Hello all and welcome to my store. I'm a textile artist and illustrator based by the sea in Portsmouth, at my happiest with a needle and thread.

Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns and exchanges
Contact me within: 14 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 30 days of delivery
I don't accept cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
There's nothing I like better than a happy customer, but if the worst should happen and you experience a problem with your purchase please contact me and I will do my best to resolve the situation.

I want all of you to love what you've bought but if you don't, please contact me within 14 days of receipt to return your purchase (provided that the item is in it's original packaging and the same condition as when it was sent to you) and I will give you a refund. If the item(s) have been damaged in transit, I always err on the side of caution when packing so this shouldn't be a problem, inform me within 14 days of its arrival with the details. All damaged goods must be posted back to me before a refund is given. When returning an item the cost of postage is the responsibility of the buyer.

When cancelling an order, if you would like to use an 'official' returns form, EU customers may use one available here: https://www.etsy.com/help/article/5452

If an item fails to be delivered due to postal gremlins or the less scrupulous among us I'm afraid I cannot be held responsible. In this scenario I'm afraid in most cases I can only offer a refund and not a replacement as the majority of my items are unique pieces.
Payment
I accept payment through PayPal, but don't worry if you don't have an account with them. Payment with a credit or debit card can be made through PayPal without signing up for one.

As well as accepting Paypal my shop is now enabled with Etsy Direct Checkout, which among other payment methods includes credit/debit cards and Etsy Gift Cards.

Please pay within 24 hrs of placing your order, if payment has not been received the order will be cancelled and the item relisted.
Shipping
All UK orders are shipped via Royal Mail First Class, with a delivery estimate of 1-3 days from the date of dispatch (unless stated otherwise)

International orders are shipped as Royal Mail International Standard (formerly airmail), delivery times vary but a good guide is 7 - 10 days, in some cases this can be longer, so please allow up to 14 business days for your order to arrive before getting in touch, weather, international incidents and customs can sometimes work against a speedy delivery. Any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred are the responsibility of the buyer.

If you'd like any insurance or tracking for UK or international orders please let me know, I'd be happy to provide it for a little extra cost.

For those last minute shoppers out there with a tight deadline, or for those of you who just have to have an item as soon as humanly possible I'm happy to dust off my super hero cape and offer express delivery where possible, just send me a message and I'll see what I can manage. Please bear in mind that this will cost more when making your request.

International incidents causing delays in Royal Mail Services can be tracked here:
