About

Living in Color

Growing up, I was always making or painting something. But that all changed as I started college, and had less and less time to be creative. Instead, I expressed my passion for color in other ways. My bedroom has always been an oasis of bright and bold hues. And as I got ready for each day, I picked which colors -- not clothes -- I would wear. As such, I've always gotten attention and admiration for the colors in which I draped myself and my surroundings.

As more and more people told me how much they love my accessories and outfits, I realized that I could create bracelets and other accessories for others who find comfort and confidence in color.

Local Color was born out of this need to share my passions and rediscover my own creativity. We all have a unique perspective to share, and this shop allows me to bring my love for a world of colors to life. By combining timeless and widespread materials and techniques with my own modern and playful style, I hope to create unique accessories that transport you to a particular place or feeling.

I want anyone wearing jewelry I made to feel not just pretty, but powerful. Wearing it, I hope you can confront the challenges and responsibilities life throws at you daily with confidence.

Shipping
GENERAL:
Most items are shipped via USPS First Class Mail, and should arrive within 3-5 business days, unless otherwise stated in the shipment confirmation notice. If ordering multiple items, I usually upgrade to Priority Mail (if the combined shipping costs exceed $6).

If you have a preferred shipping method or carrier, or would like expedited shipping, please let me know before purchasing with a quick Convo, and I'll happily try to accommodate.

SHIPPING COSTS
My shipping prices include the cost of packaging/handling (i.e., bubble mailers, boxes/cardboard, etc). I happily refund shipping overages greater than $1.50 when my estimates are off.

LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES
Lost or stolen items are THE PITS and, naturally, I am willing to work with customers who don't receive their order. In general, this means politely harassing USPS to determine if it was delivered or to help locate the item. Please contact me as soon as possible (no later than 3 days) if your order fails to arrive within the estimated time frame. This way, I can attempt to resolve any issues as quickly and painlessly as possible.

INSURANCE:
I do insure shipments valued at greater than $50, at no extra cost to the buyer. If you would like to insure your package, convo me before purchasing to make this (completely painless and uncomplicated) arrangement.

GIFT WRAPPING:
I aim to send off all items packaged to delight and maybe dazzle a little. If you are buying something from my shop as a gift, however, do tell me in the Notes to Seller upon checkout, including any messages you would like me to include for your recipient, and ensuring that the correct address is provided.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
If you stumble on a listing you're interested in buying that doesn't have shipping estimates for your country, please Convo me here on Etsy with details of what you would like and where it needs to be shipped. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

While I haven't had any issues before, please note that Local Color Creations is not responsible for any customs duties or import tariffs, taxes, fees, or for any additional delays caused by customs. I will note any restrictions or policies that may affect shipment of the items you request, but you may want to refer to customs officials in your country for more complete information regarding potential fees. I cannot mark shipped packages as gifts.
Refunds and Exchanges
Your satisfaction is my first priority. When purchasing something from my store, I want buyers to be confident that they are getting what they asked for. While the made-to-order items should be expected to vary slightly from the photos, I would be glad to work with you if you feel the product you received differs grossly in quality, color or style from that pictured. If you see a listing and know that you want it to look as close to the photo as possible, please convo me so I can best accommodate your needs.

If you are at all disappointed in your item(s) once they arrive, please contact me directly to try to resolve the issue. The process for refunding first involves ensuring there is a problem with the item that merits a return. Please contact me BEFORE returning your items so we can reach an agreement on whether and how much to refund. I may ask for photos to determine the extent and cause of any damage or disparities. If a refund is called for (and preferred in lieu of an exchange), I'll happily do so, minus original shipping costs. Refund is credited once the item(s) has/have been returned and inspected. The buyer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.

Whatever the issue, I am certainly willing to work with you to arrive at a mutually agreeable solution to assure your satisfaction.
Additional policies and FAQs
Got an idea for a custom order? I happily accept requests to make your visions a reality. Want to send a personalized gift set? Need one of those resin rings in a color that isn't listed, or with a different band? Absolutely. Convo me with your needs, and I'll work with you to make it happen. Depending on the request, however, please allow up to two weeks to fulfill custom orders.

I also repair items for up to a year, or even beyond then depending on availability of materials.
