Hi! We're Desirée and Brian, the artists behind Locked in the Cellar Creations. We both loved making our own decor, costumes and creative make-ups all of our lives. After we met, we quickly discovered that we make a great team, and we used our combined skills and talents to set up our Special Effects business. Our workshop has always been in the basement of our home, and since we spend more time down there than anywhere else, we aptly named ourselves Locked in the Cellar Creations.

We officially started our business in 2014, after working in a Halloween store for a season. It was during that period that we realized exactly how poor the quality of mass produced props and prosthetics are, and for perfectionists like ourselves it was hard to grasp why these products were so popular.
We had all these designs for make-ups and props that we had made for ourselves in the past, and when offered an opportunity to have a booth at a cosplay convention, we decided to run a few copies and see how they would be received. Customer response exceeded our expectations. Everybody loved the quality, the detail and the super thin edges of the prosthetics.

We work hard to expand our retail product line with new and exciting products, when we're not too busy working as as prop makers and SFX make-up artists for local, independant film productions of course!
