About

Relocation Inspiration

Hello! My name is Erin and I am a self-taught printmaker living and working in Bend, OR. I have loved making art my whole life, but was unsure where this passion could fit into my day-to-day. I moved across the country this fall (2016) and found myself with a sun-lit and empty second bedroom, and weird nights-only work schedule, and the beauty of the pacific northwest's high desert for inspiration. Hence, Lodgepole Studio! I am more of an oil painter by training, but began making linocut prints for fun and quickly was smitten. I got a job as a naturalist in Bend and renewed my focus on making ecology-inspired art. After all, there is no better way to study up on your local habitat than to sketch out its inhabitants many, many times..

I began with simple paper goods, greeting cards and the like, and have expanded into fabrics with tea towels, scarves, totes, and tees. I love printing on fabric and the many ways different colors and textures enhance each print.

My prints are inspired by Bend's high desert flora and fauna. I also find fun and unexpected patterns in daily occurrences.

I would love to create custom work for you- contact me at lodgepolestudio [!at] gmail.com and let's talk!

Frequently asked questions
Wholesale availability

Yes, however I limit my wholesale orders. If you are a Bend, OR, business I would LOVE to talk. Send me an email lodgepolestudio@gmail.com or contact me via Etsy conversation.

Custom and personalized orders

If you are looking for a custom-carved stamp for your personal or business use, I am happy to recommend other shops that specialize in that. If you're interested in a different pattern/animal/plant on an item, I would love to work with you. I do not sell the actual carved stamps, just the items, and may retain the right to use the stamp again on product for other shoppers.

Care instructions

Tea towels and napkins can be washed normally with the rest of your things, and can be dried. They are 100% cotton, so may do best with quick iron if you don't love the subsequent wrinkles. As with any hand printed/painted item, it will last longer if washed cooler or more delicately. However before I began selling tea towels I used several I made at home aggressively (lots of food stains, heavy duty washes, etc) and they held up (and continue to hold up) just fine!

Scarves should be washed more gently and tumbled dry on low.

Shipping- how long will it really take to get my item in the mail?

My processing time (the time it takes me to fill an order) is listed at 3-5 days. This is because I have another job and sometimes am busy and I NEVER want to be late filling an order.

However I usually am able to get orders out the door in 1-2 business days. If you have a time constraint just let me know. I will let you know if I am able to accommodate your schedule!
