Great product and great service. They were able to get my ring to me under a time constraint, and they were able to accommodate my requests to modify the design. I thought it was going to be weird transitioning to wearing a wedding band all the time, but the ring is very comfortable, I barely notice it. Overall I am extremely pleased with my purchase and the service provided to me during the process. 8]

I wanted to write a review to say how happy I am with not only the ring ... Which is beautiful and as shown in pics and described ... But also with the service I received from Lori. She went out of her way to help make my ring and ship it to me in Australia in time for my wedding, which was on very short notice. I highly recommend Lori and would happily and confidently purchase from her again. Cheers, Jamie

The palladium adds strength and durability to the silver and the juxtaposition of the textured gold and satiny silver bands creates interest while the diamond adds sparkle.

ordered chaos

I've been making things with my hands since I can remember. I was raised in semi-rural Virginia by Depression-era grandparents. My grandfather, never one to throw anything away - or purchase expensive art materials - kept what we referred to as the "junk room". But to me, this was my supply closet, the place where I got all of the materials for my many projects, from the leftover rug remnants and house paint I used in a handmade and furnished cardboard doll-less house, to old pieces of tire I used to make a pair of flip flops. The Childcraft Make and Do books were my Bible.

After studying art at university, I spent years in social work. Now, I’m finally returning to what makes me really happy, making things. I love the sculptural aspect of making jewelry and the color and tactile process of knitting. My design influence emanates from my printmaking background and my approach from Grandpa’s junk room.

I’m very attracted to showing positive vs. negative space. I find inspiration in the intersection of order and chaos, natural vs. industrial, like the beautiful lush organic vine growing on a rusted glass and steel structure or the sound of rain on a metal roof, things that connect my Virginia childhood with my new home in Seattle. I try to reflect this feeling of time, nature, and industry in my designs, a marriage of my past and present.

I created lolide (pronounced: Loe - Li - Day) in 2010 as an outlet for all the crazy ideas that go through my head. I'm inspired by the constant intersection of order and chaos in the natural and unnatural world.

I focus on organic shapes and clean, minimal desgins. Each piece is completely designed and handcrafted by me in my studio in Seattle. I try to create a small work of art, even down to the clasps and ear wires which are always hadmade and designed to fit the look of each individual piece.

I am committed to using recycled materials whenever possible and always use conflict-free stones. I value all relationships equally and try to create designs that can be mixed and matched to meet your needs.

Additional policies and FAQs
I am happy to do custom orders or special designs! Please contact me with questions and/or requests.

RING SIZING: Please note that ring sizing is the responsibility of the buyer and not all ring mandrels are calibrated so allow for a tolerance of 1/4 size up or down. I will make the ring to the size you request and AM NOT responsible for inaccurate sizing. If you are not sure of your ring size, you may want to get sized at two different places just to make sure.

If you are unhappy with the fit of your ring, I can resize most rings for a fee. I can enlarge bands without stones up to 1/2 to one size for a $25 fee per ring plus shipping. I can reduce the size for $45 per ring plus shipping. The buyer is responsible for shipping to me. Rings can also be resized locally by a reputable jeweler.

For rings with stones, I can enlarger most of these rings up to a half size, however, I cannot make them smaller due to the small size of my business and the expensive equipment needed for this type of sizing. However, you should easily be able to get this done locally.
