About

A Southern Community Bakery

Food creates community. Growing up Southern has taught us this.

A majority of our childhood memories occur between the kitchen and the dinner table; that in between space of preparation and shared work where the good stories were told, and most of life's lessons learned.

Although childhood has faded into a haze that hangs somewhere behind us, we're still amazed at how food creates an environment of comfort and safety that leads to new friendships, and the strengthening of old ones. The need and desire for good food that feeds the soul is one of the great equalizers of men.

Food is a gathering place and a comforting beacon. Much like a lighthouse leads weary seafarers home, so the sweet smell of Grandma's dinner table has brought many a prodigal to his knees in search of redemption. Food welcomes us home and reminds us why we belonged there in the first place.

As a Southern community bakery, it's our mission to create a tangible representation of the tradition and comfort that comes from having deep roots that rest in Southern soil. With our pralines and cheese straws, we seek to bring a piece of what it means to be Southern to all of your parties, events and just-because gatherings.

Community and food are two basic needs of the human experience. It's our hope that we can provide you with a little bit of both.
