All pieces are handmade by me. I have been making jewelry since 2003. The materials I use the most are freshwater pearls, vintage odds and ends and glass beads and buttons from the Czech Republic.
I can do custom work so if you have something special in mind please send me a message and I will let you know if I am able to do what you would like and give you a price. I can also do bridal/bridesmaids orders. Contact me if you are interested in a large order. I will work with you to get you the best price. -

The Story of my Work
I have been busy making jewelry for 11 years now. This passion of mine came by accident. When I was 30 I went back to school to study horticulture. I had a 5 year old daughter and needed a part time job. I have a friend that owned a small jewelry supply house in Birmingham called Blankenship-Porter Co. They hired me to answer phones and help with accounting. There were 2 ladies in the back of the shop that repaired jewelry, strung pearls, and replaced crystals in old watches. I did not care about the watches but I was fascinated by the pearls and jewelry repair. I talked them into showing me how. It took me 3 months to learn how to string pearls. This was serious business when you are stringing Mikimotos and Tahitians. We also strung a lot of Grandma's plastic too though. ha ha. I had to get each one right. My teacher was a task master. If I didn't string it just right she would make me cut the necklace apart and start over. I still loved it! I stayed at Blankenship until I finished school. I got my degree in Horticulture but my heart was no longer in it. I went back to work full time in Accounts Payable and did the jewelry on the side. By this time I was doing a few shows and making gifts for friends. After three years of office work I had enough. It just was not for me. In 2008 I decided to quit my job and try my hand at jewelry full time and I have been at it ever since. It has been up and down but mostly up. I love what I do and the flexibility made it easier for me to be with my daughter. I joined Etsy in 2008. I am an active member of the North Arts Council in Gardendale Alabama. I do 40+ shows a year in central to North Alabama. I still love what I do. It has been such a blessing. It has not made me rich but I am happy. I have met so many wonderful people and made so many great friends. I could not ask for more. I currently live in the Birmingham Area.
