Spending time in nature is so good for my soul. It lifts me up, calms me, gives me inspiration. There is so much beauty in our world and a lot of the time we don't even see it. We are in our own "bubbles" going to work, chauffeuring the kids, running errands, then we shut ourselves inside with televisions, computers and cell phones. I want to bring a bit of that nature inside. When I'm painting a bird or squirrel etc. I can hear their chatter or song in my head. I can feel a breeze and smell the grass. I want to hold on to those sounds/feelings as much as possible. My hope is that my art will bring a bit of nature into others lives, and an appreciation for the things that we tend to walk right past and never really see.
