About

Of the making of books....

Journals came about from my own journey of recording my life, my love of books, and desire to be creative in this avenue. I've been journaling for 27 years! And who wants to journal in an awesome book with a crappy, basic pen?? So I had to make new pens. I also needed a Kindle cover, so I made one (and plan to make more), and still love it!
I enjoy the hunt for rare and unique objects to use in my books. Thrift stores, yard sales and attics beware! I peruse them all and have come up with some really unique finds to accent my books.
Here at the Lost Book, most of my product is one of a kind or custom made for you! Enjoy!

  • Grand Canadian Steampunk Exposition
Fort George National Historic Site of Canada
    51 Queens Parade
    NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, ON

    Sep 22–24

A Grand Exposition of Canadian Steampunk grandeur, a festival of epic proportions, sights, sounds, and experiences to entertain and delight… all this and more! This year, we are delighted to celebrate The Birth of Flight, as inspired by the wonderful (and wonderfully silly) old movie, “Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines”! It comes from an era that bridges Steampunk and Dieselpunk — and is one of those rare and wonderful flights of fancy that was Steampunk in so many ways long before anyone even coined the term. Steampunk before Steampunk was Steampunk? Yes indeed

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

You can order a custom designed book. I will message you to communicate your preferences. Pics will be sent to verify your satisfaction of the product before purchase. The full cost is required upfront and is non-refundable. I enjoy matching the book to its owner, so I may ask questions to get an idea how best to make it :)

Gift wrapping and packaging

Every book and pen comes in a special box-every order is a gift! If you are giving it to someone else, I can leave the sales slip out, and even add a personalized message, upon request.

Personalizing

You can request adding a name or initials to a book. Most books can be personalized.

Allergies

I do have a cat and a dog, if you have severe allergies. There are no smokers in our home. All vintage books have mild "old book" natural scent, as I have allergies as well. :)
