I learned to crochet and sew at an early age. My family didn't have a lot of money when I was growing up, so we made things. Some of the items we made were given as gifts, and some were sold. I learned that a handmade item had more value than a store bought item.

My hands need to be busy at all times. I love grabbing a ball of yarn and turning it into a usable product, or taking a square of fabric and changing it into a purse. It is an amazing feeling to see the finished product and know that it came from you.

I started showing my items here based on a friends suggestion, and I couldn't be happier. It is a wonderful community, and gives you, the creator, an amazing feeling to know that your items are out there for everyone to see.

Crafting is something to be proud of, and now I am passing that down to my girls. There is nothing better than sitting down for an afternoon with my kids and creating not only usable items, but also memories!
