LOTUS SKY presents globetrotter-glam Nepal Glass Bead Bracelets handmade by the Lotus Sky all woman studio team in Kathmandu, Nepal! Each Lotus Sky bracelet is ethically handcrafted one seed bead at a time to create an endless array of arm candy that is not only beautiful, but that ensures sustainable, "investable wage" careers for women in Nepal.
Stackable, packable, & infinitely mix-and-matchable, Lotus Sky Bracelets are endlessly collectible and addicting in a good way- Just one is never enough!
As a 100% woman run and operated social enterprise, we are motivated by the knowledge that when women have economic independence, they invest in themselves, their children and their larger communities; women are the key to poverty alleviation from this generation to the next.
Therefore, one of our key tenants is empowerment through not just a "living wage," but what we call an "investable wage," which we define as one that allows the Lotus Sky women to save at least 50% of their income after basic life expense are met.
In addition to investable wages, we also believe that women must be provided a safe, sisterhood-protected work environment to cultivate their talents and explore possibilities. This is why a second key tenant of our social enterprise is what we call a She-Space. A She-Space is a safe zone and a sanctuary for women. It is a haven that gendered violence, discrimination, and threats do not penetrate. It is also a space where women occupy all leadership positions, serving as mentors to the other women in their community, as well as to the girls who look up to them.
We do take custom orders, so don't hesitate to reach out with a convo to start designing bracelets for your next fundraiser, charity, church event, farmer's market, or boutique!
Thank you so much for your support! : )

Lotus Sky- Glass Beadwork Art Bracelets Handmade in Kathmandu, Nepal!
>>♥<< THE LOTUS SKY 411 >>♥<<
LOTUS SKY presents globetrotter-glam seed beadwork art bracelets handmade in Kathmandu, Nepal by our all-woman team for daring bohemians all over the world! Alluring, compassionate, mesmerizing, and soulful, a Lotus Sky girl turns heads wherever she is and makes no apologies for being herself and living her dreams!
We are so excited that the Lotus Sky team for our Etsy shop now consists of 12 creative and inspired women from the US, Nepal, and Tibet! This is a true transcultural collaboration and exchange of ideas and talent as we design and fabricate glass bead crocheted bracelets, while maintaining Lotus Sky as a 100% women-run project!
Lotus Sky is a testimony to the fact that business and cross-cultural collaboration can transform lives positively and maintains social entrepreneurship as a powerful mechanism to empower all girls with big ideas, drive, and heart!
>>♥<< SISTERS UNDER ONE SKY PROJECT >>♥<<
Through our Sisters Under One Sky Program, we train women in the Kathmandu area to crochet incredible, stackable, versatile Nepal Glass Bead Bracelets. Our goal is to use social entrepreneurship to elevate the quality of life of all Lotus Sky women. We believe strenuously in education and the fact that ALL of the college-aged women on our Etsy team and over 98% of our college-aged women in our larger project are in school earning their degrees is a testimony to the impact of viable income on life outcomes for young women who might otherwise be compelled into forced early marriage or full-time labor. Lotus Sky women are majoring in everything from business, to computer science, to management!
One of our key tenants is empowerment through not just a "living wage," but what we call an "investable wage," which we define as one that allows the Lotus Sky women to save at least 50% of their income after basic life expense are met. Because when women begin investing in their communities, they transform them from the ground, up!
If you are visiting Nepal, you can come meet us! : )
