Amarie started in 2005 at my dining room table....

At the time, I worked in NYC and spend my lunch breaks browsing and purchasing fabrics in the nearby Garment District. Those strolls coupled with an internship at Kate Spade, really solidified my passion for design, accessories, fun patterns and colors.

After a lot of begging, my mom (very patiently) taught me how to sew from scratch right in our dining room, where my sewing machine lived for the next few years until I moved out into my own apartment (with my little studio in the back). We soon started a full line of clutches, totes and other accessories. Soon, we progressed to making custom wedding bags for brides & bridal parties!

My first week of nursing school, I needed a way to keep all of my supplies organized. Having making different types of cases before, I went home and made a sample case in fun fabrics and with pockets. I made it extra sturdy to it would last through me carrying it around all over to different clinical sites. Soon, all of my classmates wanted one and fell in love with my patterns and colors - not to mention, the terrific handmade quality and love that is in each case.

So, in Fall 2012 our original design for the Nurse Purse was born! We have been organizing RNs ever since! I am so happy to say that we were the first Etsy store with this wonderful product! Now that I am a regular RN, I still use my case every day at work and I love it!
