Wow! after visualizing our wedding ketubah for over a year, and looking at literally thousands of options, we are stunned at how perfect the final product is! Our jaws literally dropped when the box arrived in the mail. The experience of working with Lauren was amazing, and the final product even exceeds our very specific vision. We will be honored to have this Ketubah, which is truly an amazing piece of art, in our home forever. Lauren's incredible patience, attention to detail, kindness, openness to making as many drafts as we needed until we felt that it was perfect, mixed with her obvious passion for her unique work made this aspect of wedding planning so pleasant, and lovely. I will tell ALL of my soon to be married friends to reach out to her. Wonderful all around!

About

Cut Paper with a Conscience

I've been an artist for as long as I can remember. My mother is an elementary school art teacher, so I was taught early the value of making things, of looking closely at the world, and of recognizing and capturing beauty. I was always drawn to basic materials: clay, paper, wood, steel. The easiest one to work with anywhere (big studio, small apartment, overseas or camping out), is paper, so maybe that's why it stuck through all of my adventures...organizing a traveling environmental education program, puppeteering, making maps of the earth (thank you GIS) and the brain (in a science lab), teaching art on the Outer Banks and in Central Jersey...there are many more.

When my little brother got married, I made his ketubah. Then, when my little cousin got married, I made hers, too. My family encouraged me to make them for everyone, and somehow it made sense. Love by Leya developed out of the confluence of my interests, background, and talents. I get to illustrate ideas about the beauty of love and the strength in community – ideas that I believe in deeply. I get to do it in a way that takes the earth into consideration. And I get to share my work, my passions, my gifts. There is really nothing better.

SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WHAT IF THERE IS A MISTAKE IN OUR KETUBAH TEXT?
If you approved the text and I made a mistake afterwards, you will receive a replacement at no extra charge. If the mistake was in the proof and you didn’t catch it, I can create a new printed text, but you will need to pay a fee for the replacement and cover the shipping costs. Please check your proof carefully, with more than one set of eyes. I recommend going over it with your rabbi before giving me the green light to create your ketubah.

CAN WE CANCEL OR RETURN A CUSTOM ORDER?
If you cancel before I send your personalized text for proofing, I will refund the cost of the ketubah and shipping. If you cancel after I send your personalized text for proofing, there will be a cancellation fee of $50. Once you have approved your text, the sale is final and your ketubah cannot be returned because it was custom made for you.

WHAT IF OUR KETUBAH ARRIVES DAMAGED?
The packaging I use to ship your ketubah is extremely protective and sturdy. However, if your ketubah arrives damaged, I will quickly replace it at no charge. Please save the damaged art and packing material so that I can make the appropriate insurance claim with the USPS.

*If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please contact me and I will do what I can to resolve the issue.
