Announcement   Hello! My name is Jennie Lamb and I am a glass artist based in the UK and I make lampwork beads. I have a friend who I met on Facebook who had a gorgeous Airdale Terrier called Lilly sadly after a huge and valiant struggle with a disease that had plagued her for a while she died and her passing and the strength she and her family showed inspired me to make a bead in her memory. To start with I was thinking maybe a black and tan bead with paw prints and then I saw the pictures of Lily and her human dad David swimming very shortly before she passed over Rainbow Bridge and those shots of her in the water became a strong theme in the design. I wanted to incorporate the feel of water with some flowers that she tried to make look like lillies! and some pawprints to represent Lily.
I did a selection and chose the ones that I sent on to Lily's family, with their permission I popped the four remaining beads on Ebay and we auctioned them for ATRA, Airdale Rescue in the US and we raised $378.69 and left us with alot of people who wanted to own a bead too so I have set this shop up to sell some doggie beads in Lily's memory. I will donate a proportion of each sale to ATRA and to The Dogs Trust in the UK and you will see on each listing that proportion.
I also have a shop called www.etsy.com/ raspberryrings here on Etsy so if you would like to see more of my work you could head over there or you could check me out on Facebook : www.facebook.com/raspberryrings
