Welcome to my online shop where you can purchase original art, archival art prints, and a selection of digital downloads of my work. My drawings and paintings are an intimate connection between beauty and strength in nature.
I work from observation, in my home studio, in a variety of mediums. Often the subject matter is feminine and tender, which I capture with intense colour and bold marks. I apply paint in broad brush strokes, building texture and layers in my paintings. The Protea is often central in my work. This robust plant is native to South Africa and thrives in Australia. I was born in South Africa in 1973 and immigrated to Melbourne, Australia, in 2007. I studied commercial art and design in Cape Town, which led to a career as an art director in advertising in London. I have travelled extensively in Europe and Asia. My career as a freelance illustrator started in Melbourne in 2008 when I chose to work for myself from home around my children and family.
My illustration work has been published and produced in Australia and internationally. I have developed my painting and drawing practise through various art courses and have been fortunate enough to exhibit my work in Melbourne. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Art at the University of Victoria, majoring in sociology. I am passionate about social justice and equality and support Etsy's policy of putting humanity back into commerce. A percentage of all profit from my online shop goes to Plan International, who believe in a just world for children and equality for girls. Find out more here: https://www.plan.org.au/

A little about me and my practice
I paint things I love to look at, often flowers, as I am drawn to their rich colour, organic shapes, forms and lines. I mostly work from observation, in my home studio, in a variety of mediums. Often the subject matter is feminine and tender which I capture with strong colour and bold marks. I apply paint in broad brush strokes, building texture and layers in my paintings.
I was born in South Africa in 1973 and immigrated with my family to Melbourne, Australia in 2007. I studied commercial art and design in Cape Town, which led to a career as an art director in advertising in London. I have travelled extensively in Europe and Asia. My career as a freelance illustrator started in Melbourne in 2008. My illustration work is published and produced in Australia and internationally.
I feel grateful that I can be in my studio every day, continuously developing and evolving my creative practice.

Sizing details
In Australia, we use the metric system and 'A' page sizes for art prints. Sizes as follows:
A5 - 147x210mm or 5.8 x 8.3 inch
A4 - 210x297mm or 8.5 x 11 inch
A3 - 297x420mm or 11 x 16 inch
A2 - 420x594mm or 16.5 x 23.4 inch
Care instructions
I am often asked about the best frames for my prints.
If you live in Australia I recommend Country Road:
https://www.countryroad.com.au/shop/home/home-accessories/frames
Otherwise, there is always Ikea - the Ribba series:
https://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/categories/series/16456/
My art prints fit into the standard off the shelf frames.
Please see the sizing details for more information.
