About your Beeswax Folk Art Pieces & Faye's Beeswax Adventures

Please note each piece is hand poured and as the wax transitions from a liquid that is over 140 degrees to a solid molded form, stress cracks, bubbles, wrinkles and tiny blemishes can occur.
They do not adversely affect your piece and in fact add to the character and uniqueness of a pure beeswax ornament!

I will strive to paint pieces to closely resemble the published painted photo, but again, each piece is hand painted, so no two will look exactly alike....the beauty of Folk Art!

Please do request custom colors if you would like, I am always happy to customize or change things if I am able, so please reach out via email if you have any questions or would like something done differently with any piece, and of course feel free to message me with any questions you may have.

Wholesale inquiries are most welcome, I have a low minimum order threshold.

All the beeswax I use is relatively local, and is always triple filtered pure beeswax, I add no fillers or scents.

Beeswax color varies, depending on what flowers or plants the bees were pollinating!
It can vary from a soft yellow to a more bright yellow to a caramel color, which I find fascinating.

The beeswax art can develop what is called a bloom, which is a whitish film that is easily removed by carefully wiping with a soft cloth which you can dampen with a tiny bit of vegetable oil.
Note-Please do not wipe over painted pieces, as the acrylic surface is more delicate than it would be on canvas!

If you intend to store your beeswax pieces, please do not put them in your attic as they need to stay below 100 degrees, so a closet in the main part of your home is a better option. Although the melting point is high, over 140 degrees, at 100+ degrees it can become pliable and potentially warp.

Hanging beeswax in a window is wonderful, many of the pieces are thin enough that with the light behind them the almost glow and become translucent! The sun warming the pieces also seems to release a bit more of the natural scent, which is hypo allergenic, so even folks with scent sensitivities aren't bothered by the beeswax's natural subtle aroma.

Most pieces are offered with or without hangers, and several are thicker and will stand on their own.

Thank you so much for looking, Beeswax Art might not be your first choice for gifting, but I am pretty certain you can find something here for almost anyone on your gift list!

Save the bees, we must treasure our pollinators!

~Faye's Beeswax Adventures~

Many years ago when my children were small, and my winters still had a lot of snow, I purchased a few stoneware molds as kitchen decor. I later was given a block of beeswax, and decided to experiment....I poured and painted and gifted my beeswax creations, and it was a wonderful experience for me, and the recipients!
Now, I am back by the ocean a fair bit more south, and have a wonderful studio space with a stove and counters and tables and storage, and I have gone back to my roots, but with a different twist as I experiment with beads, glass, shells, beach sand, glitter, and whatever else comes to mind as well as paints!
James and I also create metal art, at Low Country Metal Art, we have done this since 2007, but the move to Edisto has been fraught with issues in building the metal shop and keeping the cutting machine running, and it seemed a great time to create with beeswax again!
I am already brimming with ideas to incorporate both metal and wax, but for now I'm focused on painting, and the found objects I collect on our beach walks and blending them with the beeswax.
Truly a joy to create, and I hope you find pleasure in obtaining a beeswax folk art piece for yourself and your loved ones!
