About

The Birth of Little Something Island Treasures.

It all started several years ago when my mom bought a jewelry store in town. It specialized in sterling silver Hawaiian jewelry but mom wanted to support local artists and designers by featuring them in her store.

While on the hunt for local vendors, I took some Hawaiian shells that my son found at our favorite beach, (Honaunau on the Big Island.) I made them into pendants with beads and pearls. I stuck them in a showcase at the shop just to see if they'd sell. (I highly doubted it at the time.) Boy, was I wrong. Customers started asking if I made earrings and necklaces as well. They wanted a website to order from. What?! I couldn't believe it. I started ordering supplies and creating more pieces. They sold out within the first week. The rest is history. I started staying up all night creating new and unique pieces. Other stores around town wanted to feature my pieces. Soon I had two websites going, a facebook page, and instagram and five stores carrying my handmade treasures. I got BUSY. But I loved it! The best part is spotting my hand crafted treasures on people around town. I've had customers from Japan and Canada return every summer for more creations. It's an awesome feeling knowing people out there appreciate my hard work!

I do everything myself, from designing and hand-crafting my pieces to taking photos, posting online, selling, packaging and shipping. In addition to this business, I have two others; one designing and crafting handmade shabby chic hair accessories and another where I put my graphic design skills to work creating custom invitations and party decor. I am one busy mama, but that's the only way I function! :)

I will be forever thankful to those who have supported my small business along the way. You all helped me get this much further!

*As of MAY 2014, I've added another jewelry making business. SOUL SISTERS is my boho line filled with healing stones, semi precious gems and lots of positive vibes! Find some pieces here and on soulsisters.storenvy.com☆
