5 out of 5 starsI made this bag for my grand daughter for her baptism. It was an easy pattern to follow. I did make one modification - I added a slip pocket with one pencil slot rather than the pencil case. I was able to make it in about an hour. Thanks so much!

4 out of 5 starsI've sewn two dresses with this pattern and I LOVE the results. I am a beginner sexist and found this pattern quite helpful in the detailed instructions, except at two points. 1) sewing the sleeves. I used a tutorial online that used basting stitches to make it easier to fit the pieces together. 2) The sleeve hem. One part of the pattern instructions that I thought could be improved was sewing the sleeve hem. In the picture she is obviously doing this at a different point than her instructions indicate (i.e. before sewing the sleeve at the armscye). Once you have sewn the sleeve closed it is tricky sewing the hem, and it seems like the hem should be done first. I also added binding to the inside where the bodice and skirt are sewn together, just to make it tidier.

I was leaning between two different gingham quilt tutorials on Etsy... but after reading the description of this one (particularly the amount of pictures mentioned) I was SOLD. And let me tell you, the tutorial does not disappoint. Written well with pictures to help, AWESOME CHARTS, photos of different machine feet... I could go on and on. I have gathered all my supplies now and can’t wait to get started. One more quick read of the entire tutorial and I’ll be on my way! Thanks Lucky Lemon!
