Welcome to Lunasa Designs Jewelry, home of the original Etsy stacking ring!
Most items in my shop are handmade to order in your size with a few exceptions, so for busy holidays it's always a good idea to order early so that I have time to make your jewelry and ship it out on time. If you're not sure about timing, or need something quickly, contact me - I'm always willing to work with your timeline.
Depending on my orders, Tiny Stacking Rings are currently taking a few days to a week to make. Please contact me with any questions. Because I'm a one woman (and single parent) operation, custom orders can take some time to make. Please order with that in mind when getting gifts for special occasions. If you need something for a specific date, please let me know in the message to seller box when ordering. I want to make sure everyone gets their gifts on time. If you have any questions please let me know. Thank you!

5 out of 5 starsThe rings are lovely, and the stones were well-matched. Told the artisan I needed for a stack with amber and she found a labradorite miraculously to pull it together with an aquamarine. I love the sun to moon contrast of it.

5 out of 5 starsLovely, dainty stacking rings. I layered them with some other rings I already had and they sort of look like planets all together. I love them, thanks!

A little bit about me....
I'm a one woman operation ("mama" to 3 boys, 3 dogs, 3 cats and 3 ferrets) born in Detroit, Michigan and raised on a farm outside of the tiny town of Lake, Michigan. After quite a few years of detours in New Mexico, Oregon, Colorado and Utah I have come full circle and landed back in the town of Lake!
When making jewelry I focus on simplicity, texture, rich color and strive to make things that are organic in nature and complement the body's natural flow. I have a fascination for contrasts and finding the unexpected in life - which fuels my love for mixing shiny stones with weathered and blackened metals; and rough, interesting found objects with shiny or brushed metal.
I've always been fascinated with finding little treasures in unexpected places. At one time I even wanted to be an archaeologist - and used to hike around the family farm as a kid, trying to scout out where an ancient civilization may have lived... I would dig, KNOWING that I would uncover some beautiful remnant of their culture... Just under ONE more shovel full of dirt...
I never did uncover anything. Apparently Michigan isn't known for its archaeological dig sites. Who knew?
♥ Now, I am fascinated with making jewelry that looks as if it has been dug up from the ground... excavated from some ancient site...
Or maybe an old hippie commune...
I love being a work at home artist, mom to 3 creative, rambunctious little boys but (as you can imagine) my life can get crazy sometimes! - I love it when my customers understand this and realize I might be sporadic in my communication with you - although I try my hardest to reply to emails immediately.
I love working small (hence my love of making jewelry).
I began working with metal about 35 years ago when I started hanging out in my dad's studio, trying to "look over his shoulder" to see what he was doing and asking a ton of questions. One day I walked into his studio and he silently handed me a jewelers saw and a sheet of copper. It was his subtle way of keeping me out of his hair. ha ha!
My love of metal, jewelry, and all things tiny was born!
Although in those days I broke more saw blades than anything else!
So, in a nutshell: I learned metalwork from my artist father (Hugh Timlin), got my entrepreneurial spirit from my mother (Two Moons) and studied art at the University of New Mexico with a focus mainly on ceramic and metal sculpture. I had some amazing instructors (and I will be forever grateful to them)! Suzanne Stern - who is an amazing jewelry artist and has been featured in many jewelry art magazines, Constance DeJong who makes large scale metal sculptures and has work in several museums, Gina Bobrowski - an amazing porcelain sculptor, Michael Ceschiat and many more. They taught me everything I needed to know and inspired me to keep creating and keep learning!
I still break way too many saw blades.

Shop policies
Everything in my shop is handmade by me. From the design sketched out on paper, to cutting, hammering and soldering raw materials, to the finished product.
All Jewelry is gift boxed, tied with a ribbon and from a smoke free house and studio - unless you count the things I accidentally set on fire with my torch! I do not have a pet free home. Animals are not allowed in my studio but they are in the near vicinity - please be warned if you have severe allergies.
All custom sized rings take 1-2 weeks to make. I'm always willing to work with you if you are in need of something quickly - but please contact me before purchasing to make sure I can do it. I'm a busy mom and sometimes life gets pretty chaotic. ♥
All CUSTOM orders (anything you want me to design) take time. I cannot stress this enough - the brain of an artist is unpredictable - we can sometimes come up with design ideas immediately - and sometimes it takes months... years... The Mona Lisa took 10 years and still wasn't finished.
I promise I won't take 10 years... BUT please be prepared... If you want a custom designed piece with special, one of a kind elements that I have to find, you need to be a very patient person. ;) Sometimes I wish I were a machine so that this wasn't the case - but then, why buy handmade?
I want you to be happy with your purchase, please contact me within 14 days of your purchase if you are not happy. Returns (in new, unworn condition) are accepted 30 days after you have received your item.
If there are any other issues beyond this time constraint, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for shopping from an independent artist. Your purchase helps my world go round!
