I started folding origami when I was 8 years old. It was all the rage in elementary school, like friendship bracelets, lanyard keychains and Lisa Frank stationary. Oh how I miss the 90's.... I was never an expert on the art of origami but somehow this particular rose design stuck with me all these years. I made these roses for friends and family, fundraisers, and school workshops, but it wasn't until I found Etsy that I truly took my craft to the next level......Weddings!

My customers were the ones that inspired me to create a line of origami wedding bouquets. After receiving multiple convos from several brides requesting to use origami for their weddings, I was surprised and honored by the amount of enthusiasm shown to use my roses for their most important day. In 2009 our shop became the first to present a unique line of wedding bouquets featuring our distinct origami rose style.

To date, approx 15,000 roses have been made by hand, and still counting...





FAQs:

How long does it take to create a bouquet?

A typical wedding bouquet takes approx 6-7+ hours to create. Of course the more complex the bouquet is the longer it takes. Each piece is handmade and assemble by yours truly.



What is your origami rose made out of?

Our basic origami roses are created from a satin material. It is stiffen to hold and give a define shape. We are also open to other paper and fabric materials. Fabrics are usually treated before they are made into origami roses so the end result does not look flat and undefined.



Do you offer other size options for wedding bouquets?

Yes! You can follow our size chart here, or in any of our wedding bouquet listings. Sizing is not set in stone but is recommended.

X-Small: 7 roses (approx 4.5”) (approx: 11cm-12cm)
Small: 12 roses (approx 6”) (approx: 15cm-16cm)
Medium: 19 roses (approx 7.5"- 8”) (approx: 20cm-21cm)
Large: 25 roses (approx 9.5-10”) (approx: 24cm-25cm)
X-Large: 34 roses (approx 10.5-11) (approx: 26cm-27cm)



What size bouquet do you recommend?

Usually our brides order a Large or Medium bouquet and a size smaller for their bridesmaids. Most of the bouquets in the bridal photos above are Medium size.



How does the ordering process work?

If you would like to order multiple sets, alter a bouquet that you see or create something new, we can discuss the details via Etsy convo. Once the details are finalized we will present a price quote and then a custom listing to checkout with. Just click on the "Contact" button on the side of the screen!



Do you offer discounts for multiple bouquets?

Unfortunately no. (I know it sucks) Since all bouquets and accessories are handmade our current prices listed are the best we can offer. We price based on fluctuating material costs, complexity of the project and time involved.
