The silver Grande Lotus Blossom is just beautiful, outdone only by the kindness of the artist who not only made something lovely, but also went out of her way to get it to me on time to be given as a birthday gift! Thanks Susan Harbourt! Marcia Gruschow, Chicago

The person who makes the rings I bought had some personal circumstances, and I didn't receive the items I ordered. Very disappointed and didn't receive any emails to say it would be delayed or that I wasn't to receive it at all.
Susan responded on May 19, 2016
This order was fully refunded and the buyer was informed of the following: I am sorry for my delay in getting back to you. I have had a family medical emergency to deal with which renders me unexpectedly away from my studio for an unknown length of time. It is with deep regret that I must issue you a refund on your purchase as I will not be abel to fulfill your purchase expectations. -Susan

My new most favourite earrings! Perfect size and lightweight so don't pull on the ear lobes. I love them, thank you!

We ordered the simplest rings we could find on the site, and they turned out to be more beautiful, and more substantial, than we could have hoped! There was also a delivery problem that Susan took care of quickly and effectively!

It all happened one night...
Susan Harbourt, the artist behind Susan Harbourt Designs, is an engineer by training, an artist by accident, and a self taught metalsmith by choice.
One fateful night, she was helping her husband update the original electrical system installed during the 1930′s as a part of the Rural Electrification Act in their Edwardian era house. Scattered all over the floor were piles of lovely aged copper wire that they had just removed from the walls of the old house. In an absent minded gesture to pass the time while waiting for her next moment to help, she picked up a few scraps and wove them into a bracelet. A spark was ignited and Luster was born in that very moment.
Now Susan loves to experiment with a variety of metals and materials to see where her hammer takes her. There is an unequaled satisfaction in feeling the magic of making metal transform from something you would dismiss as a scrap to an amazing work of art. She primarily works in recycled sterling silver and reclaimed copper making an array of rings, necklaces, bracelets, bookmarks, and sentimental gifts and is in heaven when at her bench with all tools in action; saw, torch, hammers, anvil, and the list goes on…
Let Susan help you find your own Luster and Outshine the Ordinary.
Artist, Mom, Wife, Sister, Daughter, Engineer, Domestic Goddess, Gardener, Peace Keeper, booboo healer, always my self.
Primarily I work in sterling silver and copper making an array of rings, necklaces, bracelets, and bookmarks. Lately, I have begun to search out old metals that I can reclaim and make beautiful items out of.
Simply put, I'm just a girl with a hammer, some metal, and a passion to help you find your own Luster to Outshine the usual. Specializing in handcrafted jewelry with an organic feel made from recycled and reclaimed Copper and Sterling Silver: Good for our green world.
