Handmade lampwork glass beads by me, Lara Lutrick. I sell focals, pendants, bead sets and European charm beads for jewelry designers and my own jewelry. Glass bead making is my passion and my outlet for my creative side. I have been making beads since 1997.
Using a flame to manipulate glass into a bead is like magic. The solid glass becomes a viscous liquid, which can be manipulated into untold numbers of objects. As an art form, bead making is unique. The results are immediate and the art is wearable and can be used in creating beautiful jewelry.
Please note that beads in photographs are enlarged to show details. I try my best to match the colors in the picture to the beads in my hand, but different monitors may cause the colors to vary. All beads are kiln annealed for durability and holes cleaned.

These are glass rods that are melted to make the beads. They come in many different colors both transparent and opaque. -
Melting glass onto the mandrel (the mandrel is what makes the hole). -
Applying decoration (a twisted cane of glass). -
