Do you know how hard it is to get a picture of yourself working?
One corner of my studio where all the magic happens!

I live by my own three R's - Reduce, Reuse and Reinvent!

It all started in 2006 when my oldest got married. Planning a medieval wedding isn't easy, it took me 1.5 years to do it but when it was done (and it was amazing too) I had free time at night. A friend at work gave me an old typewriter she was going to throw away and I took it. First I thought it was just cool and was gonna use it as a show piece but the more I looked at it, rather, the more I stared at it, the more excited I got.

With the help of my hubby, he snipped the keys off, filed them flat and voila, instant creativity swirled in my brain.

With that, I really got into the aspect of recycling - people started giving me old games, old books, hardware, legos, you name it - so with some patience, the right tools, and lots of learning curves here I am.

I have so many ideas floating around in my head and I do try to bring them to fruition. I try to introduce a new material use in my shop a few times a year - my latest have been old zippers and watch parts - LOVE them both.
