I feature products made with American alpaca fiber. All of Horse Mountain's items, but a few, are made from the fleece harvested from my own herd of 34 alpacas. Their fiber is then locally processed, and made into unique, high quality, and handmade products you will love.

We love working with alpaca and do our best to make all the fiber from our alpacas useful. The best we have is made into luxurious batts, rovings, and yarns. Nothing goes to waste as we use the seconds to make gorgeous heirloom rugs and the thirds for needle felting materials. We are lucky to know local and western artisans that help us.

Here on the farm I love to crochet, felt, spin and weave.

We have a non-smoking home. Many of our products are one of a kind or come in small lots because they are home-grown, hand-made or hand-dyed.

Shipping
Most orders will be shipped through Fed Ex. I try to keep my shipping estimates as close as possible. Most the time I am a little under.
Additional policies and FAQs
The item you are buying is the item that is pictured in the photograph in the listing.

I only list items that I have completed and that are in stock.
If I have more than one skein of a certain yarn it is mentioned in the listing. Because they are natural and handmade, little imperfections(differences in color, etc) might be found. Maybe even a tiny piece of hay that did not get all the way carded out. That is part of what makes homegrown, locally processed and handmade so wonderful.
