Announcement   Fabric still life oil paintings, giclee art prints, original watercolor paintings, art cards and stationery.

I have been making art for my entire life. After earning my BFA in oil painting, I have spent the last 15+ years creating still life paintings. I am fascinated by the play of light and color on fabric. I love to portray the tactile beauty and sensuality of ribbon.

While I initially started my shop to showcase my original oils, at the urging of my "fans," I am now expanding to include stationery and giclee prints, as well as fun watercolors and Lego minifigure portraits. If you have a creative idea in your mind, convo me. I welcome custom requests. In fact, convo me anyway because I'm chatty. :)

Thank you for visiting my store, Lynn Esteban Art!

Despite the creative energy needed for painting, apparently I have lots left over. I also tinker creatively with anything I can get my hands on--vintage buttons, yarn, ribbon, barn wood, etc. I recently opened a second Etsy shop to sell crafts made with vintage buttons and retro toys (mainly Lego). Stop by and see what I've been cooking up when I'm not at my easel!

Very wonderful and kind person to work with. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I ended up putting this in a Lego frame. Thank you so much for the one of a kind gift!

About

Tactile, beautiful paintings and giclee prints.

Hello, and welcome to my shop. My name is Lynn Esteban. I am an artist, mother, nature-lover, healthy eater, and Etsy treasury enthusiast. I am extremely proud of my work, and am thrilled to share it with you.

My road to selling my art was a windy one (aren't they all?). I studied oil painting in college and earned my BFA with honors in 1999. While painting and showing in local and regional shows, I worked as a receptionist, secretary, designer (mostly PowerPoint ha), and picture framer. I married, moved for my husband's job, had a kid, moved again, had another kid, bought a house... (I guess all that means I grew up!) All through the years, my painting was there, changing as my roles and ideas about life and my own identity changed.

It's fascinating for me now to look back through almost 20 years of artwork only to realize that it was my diary all along. I painted my Tension series while my husband completed his PhD. I painted the Protection series while starting a family. I painted my Bloom and Garden series when my first-born was a baby and I was bursting with the love of new motherhood. Then I painted many still-life pieces involving housewares when my baby got older and I started to redefine myself as a woman, artist, AND mother to a daughter. Suddenly feminist ideals took on more dimensions as I grew older, and I find myself now devoting myself more and more to expressing my feelings about culture and its restrictions on women.

These days, with two kids (now 9 and 4), a husband, a house, two guinea pigs, and a chronic illness, it's very difficult for me to juggle all that an art career entails. Enter: Etsy! Etsy is the perfect solution for me. I can still show locally while maintaining my Etsy shop for my giclee prints and smaller original works. I can reach people worldwide that I might never meet--artists, mentors, friends, art collectors, and more. I am thrilled to have this platform on which to show my work.

Please don't hesitate to message me with questions about pretty much anything. I'd love to meet you!

I have been making art my whole life. I particularly adore using fabric to represent women and their experiences. I also just love beautiful things, and love making them. Thank you for visiting my shop, and please do contact me with any questions.

Thank you for visiting my shop. I'm Lynn, and I'll be your guide through my little corner of the world.

I have been making art for my entire life. My love of brand-new crayons is one of my first memories. I soon graduated to making barbie clothes with construction paper and before long I was experimenting with my mom's oil paints. I went on to study oil painting in college, earning my BFA with honors. Over the last 20 years and the twists and turns of adulthood, I have maintained an ongoing studio practice in my home.

Despite the creative energy needed for painting, apparently I have lots left over. I also tinker creatively with anything I can get my hands on--vintage buttons, yard, ribbon, barn wood, etc. Much to my husband's chagrin, I hate to throw anything away because I have Big Ideas.

While I initially started my shop to showcase my original oils and giclee prints, at the urging of my "fans," I am now expanding to include stationery, vintage button magnet sets, barnwood signs, and more. If you have a creative idea in your mind, convo me. I welcome custom requests. In fact, convo me anyway because I'm chatty.

Custom orders:
Every custom order is different, so it's hard to speak about them definitively. However, here are some general guidelines to help you know what to expect. Once you place your order including payment, we will then have a conversation via Etsy convo or email. After we agree on the details of your custom request, I make a sketch and email for approval. Once I receive your go-ahead, I get to work on the final masterpiece. This phase usually about 1-2 weeks. I will notify you that it's complete, and ship within 1-2 business days.

I am happy to communicate with you throughout this process, so if you ever wonder "what's happening with that custom order?" just drop me a line.
