mabarkerphotography's Shop Announcement

My photo shop contains a broad variety of topics that reflect the wide spectrum of photographic opportunities I am presented. I am happiest when shooting nature, scenic and coastal New Enland (and water anywhere for that matter). I have the good fortune of living on the very beautiful northeast coast of the USA with the ocean, mountains, forests, and historic New England so readily available and calling to have their beauty captured. I am never at a loss for something wonderful to shoot. I am also very blessed to be surrounded by many incredibly talented artists, musicians, and professional photographers and graphic designers who have done so much to inspire, encourage and support me in my pursuit of beauty through a lens. I am forever in grateful debt to my wonderful friends and family who put up with my insanity and encourage my artistic whims. I am especially blessed to have found my fellow conspirators of the WWF - Wild Women Fotographers - with whom I spend hours shooting, and who continually challenge my technical skills with a digital SLR, and my artistic sense with framing, lighting, and post-production editing. The WWF is also keeping my film subjects quite diverse. Although we are all avid macro photographers, we like to challenge ourselves with a broad variety of subject matter to keep our skills and artistic sense continually developing, expanding, and fresh. This is why you will see photos ranging from graffiti and skateboarders to coastal scenes; from butterflies and flowers to gritty billowing smoke stacks; from macro to landscapes; and from lovely country scenes to gritty urban scenes and the abstract. Currently, I am capturing the restorative work being done to the Schooner Adventure in Gloucester, MA.

I have attended seminars and photo safaris with noted photographers Barbara Ellison, Mike Moats, Chris Padgett, Diallo Ferguson, Jason Rich, and Conor Doherty. Painter, singer, harpist, composer B. J. Wayne graced me with an educational tour at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA during the Ansel Adems exhibit. Glimpsing her artistic insight was invaluable.

As for the items in my shop, all photos are offered with or without matting. All photos are made by me. I do all aspects of the photo production myself, including printing and mounting. All photos are signed, dated and have a brief description included.
If you have interest in a photo being printed in different size or with a different matting option please let me know. If the photo prints well in the requested size I will be happy to post it in my shop. Matting options can typically be accommodated.

Please check out my FaceBook page at M. A. Barker Photography to see additional picture selections. If you see something you like there, I will happily print anything you see posted.

Thank you for coming to M. A. Barker Photography.
