Photographic approach

In my photography, I seek to enhance details in the material using the contrast between light and darkness. Whether capturing the wear of time on an object or a slice of life in nature, I explore their unique peculiarities and facets.

I am passionate for up close and abstract shots. I enjoy creating an inquisitive spirit in the viewer.

Differing from macrophotography, where the use of a macro lens is necessary, the name proxy-photography is given to all other shots taken at close proximity. To capture my photos, I use macro filters on the lens on my Nikon DSLR.

Artistic approach

From the preparation of the beginning materials to the finished product, I work meticulously to create works of quality.

I prepare my canvas spontaneously by applying a paste with a spatula that provides texture and relief.

Whether it is uncontrolled and abstract or precise and detailed, I add my medium on the paste once it is dry in random, superimposed layers. I finalize the subject of my creation by smearing and sanding. It is at this stage that the subject reveals itself in its totality.

The creation is harmonized by adding a frame from varying materials: wood, metal, or paper. A final layer of non-yellowing epoxy resin is applied to preserve the work`s diversity of colours.
