Hello! Thank you for visiting my shop!! My name is Rebecca, I am a mother of 4 and outdoor/nature/simple life enthusiast.
After many years working in a highly corporate field and never seeming to have enough time for the simple pleasures of life, I left my job to stay home and educate my children through homeschool and traveling around the US.
About 2 years ago my husband and I decided to sell everything we owned, including our home and cars!, and move our family to Norway, with the plan of spending a few years each in several European countries. Our goal was to see more of the world and expose our children to new cultures, languages, and learning experiences, but also to live a more sustainable life as we learned to buy only the things we needed and couldn’t make ourselves.
This led me to Macramé. In the hotel room the 6 of us lived in while we looked for a home (for 2 months!), I needed a clothes line for drying laundry. So I taught myself how to tie a sturdy Macramé rope. Then my children and I needed a way to carry our travel pillows hands free while flying about mainland Europe, so I learned how to make Macramé lashes! Soon our minds were set to find a way to make the things we needed.
The home we found has a lot of outdoor living space, but little earthen yard. So to grow our own food would need to be done indoors. I knew right away I’d want my plants near the windows, but not on the ground where they’d be affected by foot traffic and children 😂😂
So I learned to make a plant hanger and before long I had a full hanging garden.
One day a local flower shop here asked me to make a few for her to sell in her shop, and suddenly I was in business! Now even my littlest son loves to show and talk about his mamas plant hangers 😍

This craft has opened mine and my children’s minds to the possibility of independence and self sustainment that we have as a family. When we have a problem or a need, we’ve learned to think how can we fix it ourselves or create a solution. This realization and self confidence, as well as finding the incredible community of makers as a second home, has been the biggest reward in finding my craft ❤️
