There's always been a maker in me- at the age of two, I painted a ceramic mug with my grandmother, an extremely talented china painter (this mug still sits on my desk for inspiration). During elementary school, I made friendship bracelets and sold them to my friends. High school and college provided more outlets for me to create, be it in the form of a class presentation or gift for a friend. Post-graduation, I landed a job with a major fashion brand and became hooked on the wholesale industry. I climbed the corporate ladder and eventually ended up with a life as a corporate recruiter. My career was exciting- I planned events, wined and dined prospects and traveled everywhere, yet each day, my heart longed for a life where I could create and design.

I eventually took the leap and became a manufacturer and wholesaler on my own. I learned and learned and learned even more- I still consider it my graduate degree. And then I became a mommy. Priorities shifted. I am fortunate to be able to stay home and raise my son but that creative longing continued to call. I needed to create during the quiet hours. I started creating for friends, who told me to sell, who had friends who placed orders, who told me to open up an Etsy shop and so the story goes. So here I am- ready to design for you!

My original Etsy shop, Crafter Hours (MadeByCrafterHours) started with monogram decals but over the years, it morphed into jewelry, which is how I began my maker career.
