Announcement   IMPORTANT - I will be away through January 22nd, but I will continue to accept orders. If you need the item before January 26th please contact me and I will see if my husband can ship it out.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I launched this shop because people kept asking me about the knit products I made for myself and my husband. I believe in simple modern design in everything from my furniture to my writing pens. My knits are usually simple stitches augmented with bold colors and styles. I believe that a great yarn doesn't need a lot of frills.

I am earth conscious so I work hard to make sure that I use high quality natural yarns and that I shop from places that are good to their workers. Sometimes quality is a little more costly but I don't want to sell you anything that I wouldn't wear myself.

If you see anything you like and it is sold out or you want to customize it, please feel free to reach out to me. If you give me good ideas or feedback I will give you a discount on your next order!

Came perfectly! Seller even went out of there way to ask if I was sure on the size I requested! She is correct in stating if you want a loose hat around the hairline then order large, A more snug fit is good for the medium! Which is what I wanted! Everything is poerfect, thank you!

Welcome to Made By Mariama!

I started this shop because I love to knit and I wanted to make high quality knit products to sell. My items are made from natural fibers, mostly wool, but I also use some wool blends. Most of my yarns are from the United States but no matter where the yarn comes from, I try to support companies with good labor practices. This commitment means that the yarns I use are a little more expensive, but I think it is worth it to know that your item came from a real sheep and was not created in a laboratory or factory like most acrylic yarns. If you are allergic to wool, I will try to find a natural alternative, but I am open to the eco-synthetics, if needed.

I will not sell anything that I wouldn't wear myself, so I tend to use rich colors with simple but texturized weaves. I enjoy making custom items, so feel free to reach out to me if you want a different color or if you want to explore ordering an item that you don't see in my shop.

Thank you for visiting Made By Mariama!

Additional policies and FAQs
Every item is handmade which means there are slight variations in items. I use the same suppliers for my yarn and am very careful about following my patterns so items will be extremely similar. Most items that are available for custom design will be identified, but feel free to email me if there is a custom design that you want which is not listed.
