About

Handmade vintage style accessories for the modern gentleman.

Storia Diversa started life as Handmade By Peggy in the summer of 2011 while looking after my elderly parent. Originally making jewellery for women. Not long after opening a male friend said that it wasn’t fair, there was so much available for women in the handmade market, but not a great deal for men, so I set about coming up with ideas of what to make for men.

Having a great love of fabric (some would almost call it an obsession), especially natural fabrics like silk, cotton and linen I started making cravats and Victorian bow ties. Then came tie pins to go with them and cufflinks. This is now the main focus of Storia Diversa, but I do occasionally make items of jewellery and clothing for women, sometimes because an idea hits me, other times because I am asked to create something. I’ve also been known to make medieval clothing for members of a re-enactment group I know.

With my love of steampunk, quite a number of my designs are influenced by that, but inspiration can strike from anywhere.

I spend a lot of time sourcing fabrics and materials to be able to produce unique items, it’s nice to be able to offer limited editions that you are unlikely to see elsewhere. I like to change up fabrics patterns and designs on a frequent basis to compliment your outfit.

Storia Diversa is happy to hear about any custom designs you might like and likes working with customers on something truly unique to you. Perhaps cufflinks with a date on that means something, or a particular colour of cravat.

I adore all things steampunk and vintage. Often found in my home studio playing with fabrics and designs. I feel really lucky to work at something I love doing and the commute across the landing isn't to be complained about either!

Obsessed with chews, walks and play. Always knows when it's time for a break or a nap.

Storia Diversa specialises in creating custom made to order, cravats and accessories. Everything is carefully handmade to the highest standards by me at my home near Lincoln, UK.

My preferred fabrics to work in are silk, cotton, wool and velvet. I like to use a lot of saree silks after having spent a number of years travelling to India. I also enjoy using vintage and unusual patterns.

If your item is faulty or damaged in anyway, please contact me within 14 days of receipt and return it as soon as possible unused, in it’s original packaging. Additional policies and FAQs
I cannot guarantee that my jewellery items are allergy free, they are however not designed to be worn in immediate contact with the skin.

Please remember you are buying a handmade delicate item and it should be treated as such. When putting your stick pin or brooch through fabric please take care not to bend the metal as it can cause it to snap. I recommend holding stick pins by the shaft and gently pushing them through the fabric. I will not take responsibility if I feel the item has been treated without due care.

Please note that for made to order items work on your order will not commence until the cheque or monies have cleared. Storia Diversa will make every effort to complete your order within the timescale above and will inform you if I feel I may not be able to do this (for example if a supplier is out of stock of an item needed, or you've chosen a fabric that is in limited supply).

I recommend that you do not place an order less than 2 weeks before any occasion that you are purchasing the item for and suggest you allow at least 4 weeks in case any unforeseen problems arise. International customers should allow 4 weeks before any occasion as delivery time can be lengthy and I have no control over this.

If you have any questions, please contact me and I will make every effort to answer them to your satisfaction.

If you are outside the UK, your item may be liable to customs charges. Storia Diversa takes no responsibility for the payment of such charges.

My jewellery should not be purchased for children, they are not toys and have small and sharp parts which may cause injury if handled without care.
