Announcement
IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFORMATION: I have raised my shipping prices to reflect the actual costs of shipping right now (which are sadly really, really high). However, I am offering free shipping on orders over a certain amount - in the US, Canada, and Internationally. I am just unable to subsidize shipping on smaller orders but happy to do so on larger purchases. I have a free shipping deal for US customers for orders over $35 and for Canadian/International customers for orders over $50 (I had to make the free shipping price point a little bit higher for CDN and International orders due to the higher costs for these shipments).
All of the items you see in this shop are Made To Order (MTO) - this means I will create them just for you from this "catalogue" of my previous designs.
****Please note that my current creation time is now about 2-3 weeks. Feel free to contact me for updates or questions and I will keep everyone posted about when their beads are expected to ship. In addition I want to mention that with COVID I have been seeing some longer times for my packages to be in transit - I do live in Canada and I suspect that there are more holdups at the border right now. Thanks so much to all of you for your patience.****

Everything is made (with love) by myself, a self representing artist living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. My work is properly annealed in a digitally controlled kiln, and thoroughly cleaned. I endeavor to offer up only my very best work and I stand by what I sell!
Thank you for stopping by my little shop here on Etsy <3

Quality Lampwork Beads from an Artisan Glass Beadmaker
I opened my first Etsy store (http://lampworkbyamy.etsy.com/) a little while before I got into lampwork, way back in 2005. Back then, I was just as addicted to beads - I used to make jewelry. Once I got into making my own beads (also in 2005), the jewelry making took a back seat. I started selling my glass creations on Etsy because I loved the feeling of being a part of a handmade community that Etsy embodied.
I opened this shop to showcase my made to order creations in the hopes of offering up a larger "catalogue" of what I can make. I am still just a single glass beadmaker and I do this in my spare time. It's a bit of an income supplement and it gives me a lot of joy too.
Since the beginning, my philosophy has been to offer up the best quality product I can, with extra care to give great customer service and a personal touch. I always strive to make my customers happy, and have always backed up my work with generous guarantees and return policies. It's my hope that these measures take a bit of the scariness out of ordering something online. It's hard to purchase something without actually holding it in your hands - I totally get that. But utilizing the internet to reach potential buyers, that's too good of an opportunity to waste. I love that my beads have traveled all over the world now, to customers in so many places I have never been to and maybe may never even visit in my lifetime.
I think there is something special about holding onto the handmade art in a world where it's getting lost to mass-produced items.

I've been doing lampwork glass beads for over a decade now. I love melting glass and I hope you will enjoy my creations. Fun facts: I also work in health care, I have two dogs and two cats, and I play the cello and bass guitar.
