Unique and well made. Looks great hanging on my white bead board cottage wall. A real pleasure doing business. Would highly recommend.
"To inspire others inspires me" finding Michelle is where I discovered myself that led me to my true hidden talents and passion in creating items
Welcome to my shop and thank you for stopping by. I'm Michelle sole owner and designer.
I decided almost 6 years ago that my joy in life that I lost previous 10 years before going on paths that led to a dead end. Then I discovered I love to create and just needed to know how to sell them because I can only have so many in my home. Nevertheless, I read an article abut a business woman's huge success but starting on etsy. Then I did it with only 4 items listed because I had 26 baskets in the works for my first Christmas bazaar and WOW! I sold 22 out of 24 with a little display that if you look back wasn't one that would catch your eye. Since then I've been blessed by my community support and from March until the end of the year continue to enter the main markets that I've done since 2012 and bazaars.
I have been featured as an artist, I'm this area it's hard to be in certain big events which I've been invited three times, and there's more to read about my crazy life and process with mishaps I can't believe it.

I walk along the Oregon coast and gather most of my supplies which I create into different styles with an elegant, fashionable, and luxurious mode of living. Each process is different and can never be duplicated. I have to gather sea kelp every mid-summertime in order to make it because the dry kelp is easier to gather and work with. Then I soak it in water til it's pliable and then turn it into a creation that becomes unique and different each time. The baskets are rare because you never know how they will turn out or what idea of a design I come up with. I love the coast and all of the wonders found there and try to help clean up the shoreline by using pieces of things that you might find as you walk along the shore.
Every basket is handmade and stitched from sea kelp that is found along the shoreline of the Oregon coast. Every basket comes out to have various colors between desert sand to cream beige and various shapes, textures, and the way it's decorate, if it even needs an extra touch This rough textured basket that almost feels leather like or even like some barks from trees. With each size of basket you can fit items you can use decorations that you may choose yourself. I have a few suggestions like dried or plastic flowers, potted plant, pussy willows, mail holder, flower pot, and many other ideas that are what you want to use in it. They are not recommended to get wet but if you were to get a little of water on it that would not damage it or loosen the stitching or shape but I do want you to know that if you soak it with water for a length of time it will fall apart. So I suggest if you put something in it that needs to be water put a holder under the item to catch any water. Please don’t put it in your garden maybe only during the dry seasons but not when it’s raining. I know people like to decorate their gardens in spring and summer but like I said remove it before the raining season.
I love coming up with new and different ways to show off it's unusual style that can bring a wonderful home decoration made the center of conversations. I want you to enjoy them as much as I've had making each one and I try to make everyone with some kind of flare that stands out from any kind of basket made like this and hope you will enjoy it as well. This is eco friendly.
