Robin Gilmore
Owner
Robin Gilmore’s Made in Bridgeport jewelry collection is creative and innovative, as she transforms everyday found objects into beautiful wearable works of art. Her imaginative work is developed from recycled, repurposed, and broken parts and pieces from objects found on the street, at thrift stores, salvaged hardware shops, vintage jewelry donations and from years of collecting things that are meaningful and unusual. Robin’s creative designs are often complimented as true statement pieces and are intriguing and fun to wear. Many of the pieces she creates are real works of art, amulets that become “Modern Myths”, storytelling that is humorous, sentimental and insightful. Made in Bridgeport is Robin’s way of melding her vision and the roots of her art making with her history and the city of Bridgeport Connecticut’s Industrial Evolution. She currently runs workshops in found art and jewelry making, assemblage and weekend workshops in creating altars and shrines. Her work is for sale at many up and coming art shows and festivals. Look for announcements and locations near you. Also featured on this eetsy shop areher creations Assemblage Storytelling Art Pieces.
