Cheryl turned the Jessie Bun Hat into a Pumpkin Bun Beanie - this is genius!
Perfect for quick craft fair inventory prep or for holiday gifting - the one hour infinity scarf pattern has been updated and refreshed for winter 2021. Start your scarf now and finish before dinner!
I just love this photo Ali shared in her review of the Beehive Beanie! I’m so impressed with her work - even as a beginning crocheter, she crushed it!

We're on a Mission - Join us?

Hi, I'm Pam Grice, owner/artisan at Made with a Twist and founder of the Crochetpreneur® Business Academy. Welcome to my shop! I hope you'll stick around for a while and find something perfect to add to your own shop or to gift to a friend!

At Made with a Twist (MwaT), we're on a mission to help 100,000 women build financial freedom through crochet.

As a community of makers, we live out the belief that the maker community is better when we all work together, lifting one another up, and helping one another to serve our customers. The goal of MwaT is provide crochet patterns to sellers that are profit-optimized, meaning they are quick and inexpensive to make and they are designed to bring a profit to your business...profit-optimized!

As such, every pattern comes with express permission to sell wherever you'd like and, beginning in 2019, each pattern includes a chart with suggested retail pricing to take that bit of guesswork out of it.

When I began this shop, I was focused on selling physical products, but when my messy bun hat went viral in 2016 and I sold over 10,000 bun hat patterns to crochet professionals and hobbyists, I discovered the joy that comes from helping others reach their goals as handmade sellers.

For weeks, I received emails and DMs from sellers saying things like, "we were about to lose our house, but I made your pattern and sold over $3000 worth of hats at one craft fair!"
Or "our kids weren't going to get anything for Christmas this year because we were so financially strapped, but I made your hat and advertised it on Facebook and got over $700 in orders!"

It brings me to tears, still, to think about that time and many, many stories that were shared of women finding personal and financial freedom from selling products made from my profit-optimized patterns. And, as a psychotherapist dedicated to helping women thrive, this just touch my heart, right where I live.

It wasn't long after this that I started Crochetpreneur® , a blog specifically designed to offer tips and encouragement to women who want to take charge of their craft and build a business that helps them meet their personal and financial goals.

In January 2019, I shut down my counseling practice to focus 100% of my time on helping crochet business owners and opened up the Crochetpreneur® Business Academy - a masterclass and community dedicated to helping you thrive.

Between Made with a Twist and Crochetpreneur®, your needs as a crochet business owner are covered. If you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out and ask. I'm here to serve you.

All items in the shop are delivered digitally. To access your purchases:

When you purchase, you will be brought to a screen that says "just a minute, we're processing your your payment" if you wait just a minute and refresh the screen, the download button appears. When you click on the button, a new window opens with the file. You must not have pop ups blocked in order for this to work.

Or, you can go into the receipt you received from Etsy and click on the download link inside that email. Sometimes this doesn't work well if you're on a mobile device like a phone or tablet. In that case, open an internet browser and go into your Etsy account to access your files as follows...

Open and log into Etsy, next to your user photo there is a drop down. Hover your cursor over the drop down and select "purchases and reviews." From there, you'll be able to search your purchases and click the "download file" button on the right hand side.

Frequently asked questions
Can I sell items made from these patterns?

Yes, please do! All Made with a Twist patterns come with express permission to sell the products you make by hand. I, simply, request you credit Made with a Twist as the designer by adding the following to your online listings:

Pattern designed by Made with a Twist

What do you mean "this pattern is for personal use only" in your copyright statement?

It's so confusing, right? When a crochet pattern states, "for personal use only," this is referring to the question "who can use this pattern?" It means, the pattern is for your use and is not to be shared, copied, altered to claim as your own, or distributed without the copyright holder's express permission.

Some worry that "for personal use only" means they can't use their finished products in their business, but that's not the case. You are always welcome to sell you finished products wherever you choose.

Thanks for these patterns! Do you have a newsletter?

I do! Thank you for asking. I actually have two weekly newsletters just copy these URLs into your browser to register.
