About

My Way Home

Mad Hatter Ceramics is my home-based pottery business. While I began my ceramics career as a studio potter and teacher, I decided to build a home studio before my son was born. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Having my studio next to my house has allowed me to be at home with my kids, while also being able to find time to create. I enjoy every minute that I can be in my studio, whether it be for designing templates, rolling and texturing slabs, building forms, or glazing and firing pots.

Etsy has transformed my distribution process. While I continue to value my close relationships with local shop owners, and connections made with customers at craft shows, I have been able to connect with a much larger, international community through Etsy. I love hearing from customers that my pots are making them smile around the globe!
