Out of adversity came triumph.

Madmumknits came about by chance. I have suffered from M.E for over 26 years in varying degrees of good and bad phases and had to change my lifestyle from being a very active mum of three to a much more sedentary lifestyle. Crafting was my new outlet and for quite a few years cross stitch was my craft of choice. I had always knitted as well but it took a back seat to the cross stitch. Then nearly 7 years ago for a variety of reasons I had a mental breakdown. Knitting came back to the fore and for the first time ever I started designing my own patterns. I found this a great therapy and as they say the rest is history and I design and knit most of the time now.
I was selling on another online site then found Etsy and have found it a very eye opening experience. Since opening my shop I have met some lovely people all over the world, learned new skills like photography and realised I have a talent.
The biggest change is how I view myself. I am now a knitter designer who has M.E not an M.E sufferer who knits. More recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia as well as osteoarthritis in my hands but this will not stop the knitting and designing, just another challenge to overcome.
Madmum is my affectionate name from my son in laws.

Returns policy

Your rights to return non personalised items are protected under the EU Distance Selling Regulations. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase you can return it to me for a refund/replacement within 14 days of receipt in a new/unused condition. Please notify me of this as soon as possible and get proof of posting when returning the item/s

Great pattern. Simple step by step instructions. Lovely little baubles. Only made three pudding ones so far as a secret santa present for our book club. Intend to knit a couple of mince pies and puds for my own tree.
