Announcement   LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO WEAR BORING JEWELRY!!
After a long period of ill health and loss, I'm back at my work table listening to the stones and the bones. I hope to have some new pieces listed in the next few days. It feels so good to be creating from a place of joy again and building up a reservoir to put into my pieces.

I believe we come into this world blessed and whole and then spend the rest of our time here on Earth trying to remember who we really are. I make amulets to protect, heal and empower the wearer while on the journey home..

About

I just want to say a heartfelt thanks to all my wonderful customers, past, present and future. Your support allows me to do work that I am passionate about. After spending more than 50 years of my life working at jobs that fed my family but did not feed my soul, I am deeply grateful to be able to make things that I love - and that others come to love as well. You complete the circle. Blessings and peace to you all!

Since my retirement from accounting several years ago, I have had the great good fortune to be able to devote my energies to creating one of a kind amulet jewelry that reflects my lifelong love of archaeology, anthropology and women's spirituality.

We human beings have been decorating our bodies for a long long time: for protection, for cultural identity, for status, and just for the love of having something beautiful and magical adorning us. I started stringing together beads as a teenager. The first thing I look for when visiting a new town is a bead store - the second, a thrift shop. I love a little sparkle, but what intriques me even more is an old charm or bead with a story to tell. For the past few years, I've been putting together pieces inspired by those stories. Many of the components I use have traveled to safety with refugees, especially those from Tibet and Afghanistan. I hope you find pieces that speak to you and enhance and add to your story. The intention I have when I put together all the varied components is that whoever wears them will be awakened to her own strength, courage and beauty.

Returns and exchanges
I want you to love your purchase as much as I loved crafting it. If you have ANY problems or concerns, please contact me immediately and I will take care of it. I will make repairs free of charge for as long as you own your Maggie Zee amulet. I just ask that you pay shipping costs and my cost to replace any missing components. Please be aware though, that most of my pieces use some one-of-a-kind vintage or ethnic components which may not be replaceable.
Payment
Payment is due immediately upon checkout. Please contact me via Etsy conversation if you have any questions. Keep reading for policies concerning layaway.

Shipping
I ship USPS Priority Mail and fully insure everything I send out. I will include the tracking number in my confirmation of shipment to you. This method costs a little extra, but helps me sleep at night.

The boxes and packing I use are 100% recycled material and made in the U.S.A. using clean hydroelectric power and no chlorine bleach in the manufacturing process. The recycled cotton filler is tarnish resistant and I recommend you store your amulet in the box it came in.
Additional policies and FAQs
Jewelry care information:
I use the highest quality components I can find and handcraft all my pieces with care and love, but like most jewelry, they are not meant to stand up to hard use. Please use the clasps to remove necklaces and bracelets and avoid sleeping, bathing and swimming with them on. Try to avoid having your seatbelt rub against the necklaces. Constant abrasion will damage some of the vintage and antique elements. Strong perfumes, hairsprays or oils may damage some of the patinas and the more porous objects. If you store a piece made with steel wire in a moist environment, say, in your bathroom for example, the steel will develop a fine layer of rust which may transfer to clothing. The patinas on the copper, silver and bronze pieces may deepen with time and to me, adds to the character. If this is not to your liking though, you can gently buff with a polishing cloth.

If your jewelry should ever need repair, please contact me. I am happy to make repairs at no charge if you cover postage costs.

If you are interested in paying for a piece in installments, please convo me. I am willing to give 30 day terms, provided that you pay a down payment equal to at least 1/4 the value of the item and one installment a week thereafter. The shipping charges will be added to the last installment. If not paid in full after 30 days, I will refund your money, less my Etsy and PayPal or credit card charges, and relist the item.

WHOLESALE INQUIRIES: My Etsy prices ARE wholesale prices already because they do not include gallery mark-ups. I am an artist and each piece I make is a unique statement with its own unique personality and energies.
