I delight in finding vintage clothing, linens, household
decor, jewelry - just about everything that evokes a sigh
of nostalgia. The thoughts of who may have owned an item and what their life was like, while also marvelling at the
craftmanship of these past items is a joy. Knowing that I
am saving these items from cluttering our landfills is
an added bonus.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
I strive to accurately and honestly describe
the condition of each item we list. Most of the items I list are vintage, and as such
may have acquired some small markings from their journey through the years. Any of these 'badges of maturity', when noted, will be mentioned

Sorry, but I do not accept returns on clothing because the garment does not fit. Vintage clothing
is sized smaller than modern, so it is important to compare the measurements given of the garment to a similar item of clothing that fits you. If comparing the measurements of
the item listed to your body measurements, please allow
at least 1.5" for comfort of fit.

If an item is damaged during mailing, please let us know immediately. Canada Post items are insured for damage.

If you have any concerns about an item which you purchase from me, please let me know immediately upon receipt and I will
work with you at resolving whatever the problem may be. If the item is to be returned, it must be returned within 3 business days of receipt of the item.
I accept Paypal and money orders (International Postal money orders if outside Canada please!).

I also accept personal cheques within Canada, however please be aware that the cheque has to clear the bank (approx. a week to ten days) before the item is sent.
I ship all items via Canada Post. Canada Post rates are
high and I do everything possible to keep the mailing cost down. Clothing and linens are carefully wrapped in
tissue, a new white plastic bag, and then placed in a
padded manilla mailing envelope as this reduces the rate.
If the item is large it will go in a recycled clean box.

*mail within Canada goes Expedited parcel (either in a padded envelope or recycled cardboard box).

* mail to the US and International, if the weight is under
2 lbs will go Small Packet Airmail. If the weight (actual or
dimensional) is more than 2 lbs the item will go Expedited
parcel or flat rate parcel, depending on which is cheaper
for the customer.

*Mailing prices for sending within Canada are impossible
to determine without a destination postal code. For this reason, if you are a fellow Canadian, I need you to contact
me with your postal code immmediately after you purchase
something so I can calculate your total with postage.

* When postage is known for an item (i.e. Small packet air,
expedited, flat rate for US destinations), I will note this on
the item listing.

* If postage is not shown on a listing, please contact us for an accurate quote on the mailing cost.

* I do not charge any extra for packaging and handling.

* I will gladly combine items for mailing.

* Items are mailed out either the same day as payment, or the
very next day. An email is sent to you to let you know the
that your item is on its way.
Additional policies and FAQs
This is a dog and cat friendly home, however items to be sold
are kept in a closed room and our furry family members are not
allowed in.

Vintage items may have been exposed to a variety of environments over the years. I do my best
to launder or clean the items if possible, however if
the item requres dry cleaning I leave that up to the new owner. Our small town does not have a drycleaner versed in
the treatment of older fabrics. I have also found that many
customers of vintage clothing prefer to have their garments
cleaned by their own trusted drycleaner.

If a particular odour is noticed on an item (i.e. ciggie odour)
it will be mentioned in the listing. In many cases, a latent
cigarette smell on a vintage item will not become evident until
after it is parcelled and in the postal system for several weeks. Usually an airing and/or will remedy this problem.

A word of caution, most vintage items do not have any discernable odour, however the odd one may - if you are sensitive to pet dander, and/or
cigarette/old perfume odours, you may be best to purchase
new manufactured items. It is impossible in 99% of the
items sold to know what their previous lives entailed.
