Had not appreciated its glinting metallic dots of light radiating from the centre. It will hang next to the one I purchased previously and which I love to sit and look at . Very special art work. Joumana Medlej is an artist from Lebanon known for her use of the Kufic scripts. For over a decade, she has studied and revived these disused styles of early Arabic calligraphy, while abandoning the lifeless uniformity of modern materials for the old ways of making her own colours and foraging for pigments.
