Welcome to my online shop!
Organic and bold, simple and textured these are the words one can use to describe the work of Alexandra Jamroz jewelry. The pieces are inspired by walking in the woods, visiting the lake in the summer, and mediating while practicing yoga.
Alexandra Jamroz, a Chicago metalsmith, uses Argentium silver, brass, copper, semi precious stones, pearls,amber, antique glass and crystals to create her OOAK pieces. This includes earrings, necklaces, yoga pendants, and leather cuffs.
Each piece is created one at a time: hand shaped, hammered, cut and drilled to create a truly individual piece, which can be worn everyday and by everyone.

Reach for your Northern Star
I have always loved to create things. As a little girl I played with toy horses and built their stables of wood and made their bridles and saddles of scraps of leather. I loved to played outside and be in nature as much as possible too. So when it came to working with metal I became attached to it as I could cut it, hammered it and change its shape to pieces which were inspired by nature. I bent nickel wire into the shape of leaves and hung them from cotton cord. I no longer make these but can upon request :-)
Then I found the love of silver - a softer metal which it easier to shape and turned this into mini saucers with a dash of color inside - my tiny dangle earrings. One of the first things I made of silver though is the RING. For men and women a wide band of Argentium Silver hammered, dimpled and drilled holes for some awesome texture and ventilation :-)
For those whom love the color of gold I introduce brass without the high price tag of 14k/18k.
I create dangle earrings, rings, necklaces and brass pendants for my leather cuffs of brass as well as the silver.
My inspirations are nature, world symbols and yoga...hope you enjoy my work as much as I love making each and every piece.

All of my pieces are made one at a time with the intention of creating happiness and inspiration. I pound, shape and saw each piece at my home studio which has windows on all three sides.
Living in Chicago I see snow fall, rain clouds, bright sun and the leaves of the trees change from season to season.
Really a perfect room as I am inspired by nature and texture.
Plus I practice yoga in this same space which seems to be present in my unisex leather cuffs which feature twenty yoga poses. Each of these particular images are hand drawn by my sister whom lives in England and is a yoga therapist.
