Great communication on a custom order. The doll arrived in time for Christmas, and is of amazing quality. Highly recommend this seller! Her work is well worth it!

About

Making Friends with care, attention, and lots of laughter.

I first learned about Waldorf dolls when my daughter was just a little over 1. The more I discovered about them, the more I wanted to give her one of her own. My first ever Waldorf doll was made from a kit and was rife with the problems of a first doll - she was floppy and understuffed, she had a sloppy neck join, she was top-heavy. But I really enjoyed making her, and even better, watching my little girl play with and bond with her. And that's where the seed of Making Friends was planted.
I did a lot of research into the Waldorf doll-making process, made scores of practice dolls for friends and family, and launched my Etsy shop in 2010 with 3 listings - confident in my abilities as a self-taught Waldorf doll-maker.
In the years since the launch of my shop, I've added many new styles and patterns to the repertoire. We've also added a member to our family. Life with two small children is full of fun and joy!
Amid all this change, one thing that has remained constant is my commitment to quality and to the pursuit of thrilling my customers. Quality begins with materials, continues with the process, and closes with packing and shipping. It's not just one facet of my business - quality is at the root of my business. Thrilling my customers - well, that's largely selfish. I love the gratification and self-congratulations that come along with a job well done.

I learned to knit at 5, embroider at 6, and how to use a sewing machine when I was 9. Crafting and creating has always been a big part of my life. Now I'm working on passing that love on to my children.

Welcome to Making Friends! I fell in love with the idea of all natural toys and Waldorf doll making when my Sister-in-law pointed me toward these amazing toys. It seems I can't stop making them!

Payment
If you wish to reserve an item, and pay for it within 2 weeks, please let me know - I am happy to hold items, but I need to know if you need some time.
For custom orders: a deposit is required upfront. The balance of the cost, including the true cost of shipping is due upon completion.
Shipping
Shipping is via Canada Post. A tracking number will be provided. If a tracking number cannot be provided a photo of the receipt can be sent as proof of shipping.
In cases where shipping is less than expected (by a difference of $4 or more) a refund of the difference will be provided.

I live pretty near our post office - often shipping can happen same day. However, I do have 2 small children - and sometimes a walk to the post office just isn't in the cards. Items will ship within a maximum of 5 business days.

Dolls are packed in heavy-duty boxes to ensure protection during shipping. Gift wrapping is available - just let me know if you want it!
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the unique nature of my dolls, returns cannot be accepted. I will warranty my work on each doll and will make repairs free of charge for any 'manufacturer's defect'. If a repair is needed, simply contact me.
